Others Zelos first shots @ 100yds.

First shots @ 100yds.
I sighted my rifle at 25yds. to look for Squirrels today. Then moved the target to 100yd. To sight my .308 Mauser for a cast match Monday.
But thought, you know I have never tried 100yds with the Zelos. So I decided to see if it would even hit paper. I aimed at the top of the target.
First shot hit 12" low. Adjusted 24 clicks up.
Then took 5 shots. That flyer was all me.
This thing just amazes me.

Great shooting! Struggling to find right combination of bag, bipod and/or stand. Obviously you’re no stranger to precision shooting but what do you use/recommend? Thanks.

I am quite pleased seeing quality of the under $1,000 guns these days. Umarex/Snowpeak Zelos/M60b, Barra 250z, Reximex Throne 2/Meta Premium, Snowpeak Max 1, Niksan Ozark/Elf. Lot of others like Kral, Kuzey that appear to have upped their game too.

Thank you Umarex Gauntlet for showing that a gun does not need to cost thousands of dollars to be a quality rifle.

I always shoot off a bipod, this one is a
UTG Recon 360 TL 5.5" - 7.0" which I really like.
and use a small rear sandbag.
960 FPS, no idea of ES, I never did pay attention.
I will try to rechrono in the next week or so to get that data.

Thats amazing, it's always fun to stretch it out to 100Y if you have the space! I am not a big fan of 5 shot groups however.
Next time shoot 10 or more.....I've had sooo many sweet sweet 5 shot groups get completely ruined by shooting another 5 or so on target.
Heres my second attempt @ 100Y with my Brk Ghost (shot yesterday). Wind pushing left, guessed and held 2 dots up and first 2 shots were low & left in the group. Help 2.25 dots up and to the right and first shot smoked the gold dot, other 2 are circled inside main group....I felt pretty good
Then I fired a bunch more
A 1.5inch group for Mrds @ 100 ain't bad so I'll take it. Corn will be off the fields soon here then I'll have all kinds of room 2 shoot!

Not sure how soon I will shoot 100yds again.
I usually only shoot to 50yds as that is usually my farthest shot when I'm hunting.
