EVOL Who's gonna upgrade their Evols?

That easy cocking system is amazing. I didn't think there would be much of a difference between the stock and the new version. But when Tom was gracious enough to let me play with the HPS 30 for a while the cocking was extremely noticeable! That alone is well worth the upgrade. The external adjuster is nice when you are tuning, but when you have things set, like you said, there is really no need to adjust anything. If there was a way Tom would be able to make a regulator like the Leshiy's use that would be great.
I noticed the leshiy regs tend to creep. No matter whether it’s the reaper, or the new huma offering. I think Tom’s design with a tapered seat and piston are much more reliable.

I have the new ciocng system on my 15" and although not. huge differance I find it noticeable and I like it.
I love Toms regulator.... would be nice to have it as a side adjustable.

I still don't like looking down the barrel of the gun to adjust the regulator or look at the gauge!
plus one
I wish Tom would have turned it side ways even it it cost a little real-estate in the resivor ( wich I dont think it would have ) but I am sure he had a reason for doing it the way he did? recovery durability something made him choose the path he choose because you know he is smart enough he could have turned it out the side.

I think the nice thing about Tom's reg adjuster is that nothing changed. The reg which has proven itself is the exact same. There is just essentially a long hex extension going through the airtube to allow external adjustment. It's very simple and not really much to fail I believe

Let's not request for a change. Otherwise, we'll never see these guns for a while lol.

I'm still on the fence about upgrading my current Evols. Maybe the easy cocking system. The external reg adjuster would be nice but not a definite must-have for me. I'm still waiting for a 15" with the new upgrades though.

Oh, interesting!

@zx10wall, did your kit retain the original regulator?

Is it safe to have things inside of the airtube? In this case, a long hex. Guessing yeah with the amount of depingers people used to install into airtubes

I know Tom has been testing them for a long time and has used I believe different materials to see what's best. I wouldn't worry about it personally. Tom doesn't release something without extremely thorough testing.

Also things have changed, "had" to buy a different gun to replace one that has been giving me fits since i bought it in Oct. My Notos gave me a false sense of thinking maybe budget guns were getting good nowadays. My case of a XM1 Bullshark in .177 is definitely NOT. Anyways Evol upgrades will have to wait for awhile if I decide to once I see how others like them.
