I have both and like them both enough I bought I think 10 tins of the slugs and 15tins of the pellets. The 20.83 Lights do very well for me out of my Taipans. I did test BCs between JTS 18gr at .033 and JSB 20.83gr Lights at .038. Not as good as I was hoping but percentage wise weight to BC wise did make sense.

I stumbled across that these were available in a different thread. Anyone have any experience with them? Utah Airguns have them. I ordered 2 tins to try. Look similar to the .177 10.3 MK3 slugs which seem to do very well.

Thanks for that link! I had read that thread originally but it meant nothing to me at the time because I wasn't looking, now it is exactly what I was looking for.
Did you do the BC for the slugs? The tin says .088 and that is really good for 20.83gr. It doesn't matter, I have to try them anyway. I really like JSB lead and KOs expand like crazy. That picture you posted of the hollow point has me sold already and it doesn't hurt that the BC of these is higher than anything else I have tried. I have been really trying to find an NSA that works, but it isn't happening. I am going to try some Zan's that I just got and then these, and that's it for slugs. The 10.03gr .177 KOs are very good and they got me looking to try the KO .22. My only trepidation is the .216 size, seems small, but if your Taipan Vet likes them then I am not too worried about it. I'd say the thread went dead because they are in stock now and everyone (except you?) has them.
@FL22 and myself are running them in our S510s. Very accurate, sliggghhhtly better than the 18.13gr past 50Y but (here it comes) they cost a ton more than the 18.13 so no go for me. In my Ghost HP they were dreadful, but I was off reg so that was not definitive. @Franklink did a small write up on them and touched on his bc results as well.
I haven't tested the BC yet. That's my plan. We had our 3rd child 9 days ago and our oldest 2 have been sick so sleep has been minimal lol. We're getting more of a schedule now so I plan to test soon. I really like how the KOs shoot. In my testing I'd likely shoot them over the 20.83gr pellets especially for the cost over regular 18gr pellets. The expansion is ridiculous here's some JTS 18gr vs 20.83gr KOs at 100yds on a dirt pile. JTS were 920fps at muzzle KOs at 820fps.

You said 20.83 KO, you meant 20.83 Super Lights? I am hoping when I eventually get a slug barrel my Ghost will love the 25gr KO slugs. They seem always avaliable and well priced. Here's hoping
This is very true. I had not shopped for .22 ammo for a long time before I got a Barra that I want to shoot slugs out of so I have not been paying attention. I've still got 20K of JSB 18s to go through. Congrats on the important work! This stuff is just play. Sleep is going to be the precious commodity for quite a while, over shooting, I'd imagine.

Thanks! Yeah it was rough at first but I'm getting used to it again.
Now for these slugs I have tried many slugs out of my Vet Long with little success. The only ones with repeatable success were VK XLHP 22gr and these 20.83gr KOs. Both are extremely similar having huge HPs. Also performed best in my Vet2 I had also. Granted only 2 guns and both with CZ barrels but they have performed as well as pellets and have never had that before with many other guns and slugs. They are essentially the 10.3gr MK3 KOs in .22 form from what I'm seeing.
I'll measure them in the morning for you as I do think they are a hair bigger than .216 when I measured them previously. But they have a thin skirt so they do seal up nicely to rifling.
