Whats everyone using for a bipod

I have an Accu-Tac with extended legs, entire setup is about $600. These are great bipods from the bench but can be terribly awkward and heavy as $/@& for the field. Very expensive for what they are, honestly I'm so tired of carrying it I might actually dump it and go with a cheap Harris bipod. Heck, no bipod is actually better than using one. Haha Anyone has a lightweight solution other than sticks I'm all ears.
Hey Dana, I run the magpul bipod on my Evol and its been not bad. Very lightweight, it doesn't go high enough to shoot from sitting on ground. But still I find plenty of uses while at the farms or in the mountains. Think it only weighs 10 ounces or something close

I have a very unique situation with my needs, few times if any do I ever shoot prone so majority of bipods are worthless. Really the main reason I use the Accu-Tac one is for filming purposes and having the extended legs are really helpful. I'm unhappy with current designs so have come up with my own, just need to decide who will produce them for an affordable price.

Thats the problem though today the worker wants $30-$40 per hr the manufacturer wants 100-150% profit and the retailer wants 100% profit too. Makes stuff much more expensive than its actually worth

Unless I get a real nice high stack of hay at the farms, I also am never proned out. That exact reason is why it took me up until last year to even try running one.

It has helped me be more versatile though for sure. With legs up I will rest on fences, logs, etc. If I need more height off the truck rail or hood, or a downed tree in the mountains it really helps me adjust and be much more stable. If im tuned for pellets and moving around the farm I will alot of times take it off.

Looking forward to seeing your design! Our styles and needs are very similar it seems and I can only imagine it's geared that way.

i am still on the fence tossing and turning, bipod, tripod, bipod, tripod, bipod, tripod. ;o
Well depends what you want to do and how serious you are about what you want to do. Ive tried small tripods and personally prefer bipod and my stud rear rest for bench shooting.
