I have a few Nova Liberty.
They in the top 3 favorites.

How high did you adjust the regulator to get to that power?
Did you change the hammer spring, or increased preload (I am usingM6 washers)?

Also on my .177 liberty I stole the hammer spring adjuster on the back of my Seneca Aspen .25 I have torn apart. And I stole the back half of the stock since they are the same platform so I can adjust it at will with an allen wrench. Some time in late March or April I was going to send Alien air werks the adjustable piece from the Aspen and have him make a few for the other Libertys I have. He's an unbelievable machinist. He makes plenums as well.

Instead I found that the new part arrived damaged and I can't bring myself to care about dealing with it anymore. There are things I need to do, but probably best to maybe try again tomorrow.

I here you it's 3:50 am and I have been trying to fire the pistol from Defence Innovation for the last 1/2 hour. It seams as though the auto over torque system is not auto engaging on the first shot.
Will sleep another few hours and try again tomorrow. I have a feeling it's just the CO2 cap not going far enough down. The insides look great and the silicone drop on the cartridge is not contacting the piercing head. At least I see none down there.

I took the valve and used a curved file and filed out the area after the poppet. It's real sharp and doesn't support smooth flow. I believe it helped open it up but the valve looks rough. I should have taken a picture. I'll have to find the leak or just install a new o-ring kit. Then I can shoot it down to see my regulator setting. I'm guessing 24-2500 psi. I purchased 2 heavy valve springs from alien Airwerks...he advertises on Facebook and am using the lighter of the 2. My last thought was to make or find a brass weight for the hammer spring. I bought one for my notos from c88 and it helped. The transfer port area from valve to port seems to be open to 80% when I fitted it with drill bits. I ported the barrel to 80%. Can't remember what bit size off the top of my head. That alien air werks specializes in avengers so he will work on the Liberty's.

See if he can make you a delron poppet. You'll pick up more power. I've got a 18cc plenum with a stainless steel valve/peek poppet. I'm getting around 49 fpe from it and my reg is sitting around 2k psi. If you over drive the hammer it will slam into the bore and it will cause it to tighten around the hammer. With the rifle not cocked and the hammer spring removed tilting the rifle up and down you should hear the hammer sliding back and forth. Not saying this is happening to you but just a little bit of info.

See if he can make you a delron poppet. You'll pick up more power. I've got a 18cc plenum with a stainless steel valve/peek poppet. I'm getting around 49 fpe from it and my reg is sitting around 2k psi. If you over drive the hammer it will slam into the bore and it will cause it to tighten around the hammer. With the rifle not cocked and the hammer spring removed tilting the rifle up and down you should hear the hammer sliding back and forth. Not saying this is happening to you but just a little bit of info.

I do have his delron poppet but have not installed it yet.

It will probably fix your leak and give you more power. The original poppet sealing material is really soft and sticky in comparison to delron.

Yes. I got even more with a peek poppet. As far as the hammer being over driven you could put a couple of Orings between the hammer and the valve.
The soft material Nova used in their poppet wears down until the metal can comes in contact with the valve. That's when you have a leak problem. Before I could get parts I just used a Dremel with a cut off wheel and trimmed back the metal can so the sealing material was in contact with the valve.

On the steel with the HW30S again. Beautiful day out.

I was able to shoot some, hit 2 black birds with the Liberty .177. Max 1 .25 likes the barracuda match 30.86 gr with the regulator 145 bar going 880-890 out to 50 yards. Liberty .177 loves the jsb 13.4 3 exact monsters at 940-950. The hatsan blitz is slow shooting 660 to 650 with vortex 48.6/apolo 49 gr but is accurate at 50 yards. I get over 90 shots before it falls off. I don't know what to say about my notos with the 600 mm barrel. Shoots Norma 17.6 20 fps faster than the lil ol 11.75" stock barrel. Maybe an o ring got clipped when I set the barrel. Fun day. The max 1 gets 4 magazines (64 shots) or a lil more from 290 bar at this setting. Lot of shots for 54 fpe.

Mounted new Eagle Vision Scope mounts on two of my scopes. They are sure nice scope mounts

Super fast and quiet fill, especially since I have a tube plumbed out of my house for the bleed valve.

Cleaned up the range with my 2 year old. Then while he napped I got to rezero my scope again on the Vapor Max because the rings still won't fully tighten onto the dovetail. Followed that with practicing on my ATFLBox resettable targets, set at about 20, 25, 35 and 45yards.
