What'cha doing air gun related today?

I swapped in a ball head mount and put an arca rail on my gun. It’s defo not the ideal mounting point. So I probably won’t just be letting it sit like that for a long time. But for coyote stands it’ll make it way easier to scan while running the calm. The ball head rotates horizontally really well.

Then I went out and shot some cheap metal at 73y. No attempt at grouping or anything lol. Just wanted to dump some lead and see how I feel about the arca.

You have seen how I did my arca mount, but what you didn't see was my plan b. That was to seriously strengthen the picatinny mount in the front (even more than I did) and to put an extended cantilever arca rail coming back to get the center of gravity better. I am very happy that I didn't need to do it because drilling the access holes for that would have been hell to get right. Still, it's an option.

I had it out this morning on a test run and I was surprised actually at how good it felt on there… mostly it just allowed me to mount my red light on the gun and scan horizontally with ease… might still end up drilling into the stock though… also got to feed another jack rabbit a Franco slug haha.

He died about 5yards away from the end of the video. Pretty sure it was a lung shot cuz he let out one gurgley scream and fell over.

Picked out a CVLife BearMight ED 6-24X50 Scope to go on the RAW HM1000x .25 I bought on gunbroker.com. Rapid Air Weapons so it is an older HM1000x

Love when I drop a lowball bid and it holds up. I've won AirForce Condor, FX Bobcat and Evanix Sniper X2 previously with lowball bids. Usually someone comes and outbids me. But awful sweet when they dont.

I have done that to my AirForce guns to move the center of gravity back towards the trigger.

EagleVisionCam makes rock solid cantilever mounts. I wasn't sure about holding the weight but after 6 months of regular use it has not wiggled even a little.

I purchase the Vevor entry level with shut off PCP compressor. I believe I will have a Aircuda soon. Armon up the street mentioned getting rid of his Diana Bandit. I have all the Chaser Kit stuff that looks like it will fit. Longer .177 barrel and suppressor. That might be fun.
Went to the Range this morning for 2 hours. Nothing to Brag about. I did find out the Tactical Bore Site V2 does work out past 100 yards. They claim 150 yards but I really couldn't find it past the 120 Yard marker just before the dirt wall. The HW50s exceeded my expectations at 50 yards with a 3x9x32
The Beeman QB CO2 just can not pull out the 50 yards. But 40 I can drill things and feel confident.
Today was not my day for the 75 yard markers. I just couldn't hit the 8 inch splatter burst no matter how hard I tried. Next time I'll bring my rest. I regretted it as soon as I started walking towards the 75mark.

I had tried to do that, on my TalonP, using only the pic rail I put on the barrel but it wasn't high enough for the unsupported part. I didn't think to use an additional short cantilever rail. Yours is certainly a quick slick solution, kudos.

Yeah, there is a low 11mm to picatinny riser in there to get the clearance.

I've had a couple that bent with use. The EagleVisionCam is like a solid billet.

Snowpeak Max 1 has a ridiculous bottom 2 row picatinny. Zero issue with the same cantilever.

Nothing new or exciting here just giving lead kisses to critters in the dark… the local jackrabbits are not safe… video is up on my insta but I figured I’d stop spamming y’all so here’s a pic….
I hear you. They can devitate a property in 2-3 years if you let them. Glad my dog likes the gofers and shrews. She sets them by the trash can...lol
