Nice and organized Papa T! Easy to find everything if it's all in one box.Been a lot of cleaning and yard/housework vice airgun fun of late. Today as I was returning things to the garage I had an idea enter my head. So... my old concrete work toolbox is now my airgunsmith toolbox, and my overall airgun area is dramatically cleaned up!View attachment 14615View attachment 14616View attachment 14617

You have seen how I did my arca mount, but what you didn't see was my plan b. That was to seriously strengthen the picatinny mount in the front (even more than I did) and to put an extended cantilever arca rail coming back to get the center of gravity better. I am very happy that I didn't need to do it because drilling the access holes for that would have been hell to get right. Still, it's an option.I swapped in a ball head mount and put an arca rail on my gun. It’s defo not the ideal mounting point. So I probably won’t just be letting it sit like that for a long time. But for coyote stands it’ll make it way easier to scan while running the calm. The ball head rotates horizontally really well.
Then I went out and shot some cheap metal at 73y. No attempt at grouping or anything lol. Just wanted to dump some lead and see how I feel about the arca.

I had it out this morning on a test run and I was surprised actually at how good it felt on there… mostly it just allowed me to mount my red light on the gun and scan horizontally with ease… might still end up drilling into the stock though… also got to feed another jack rabbit a Franco slug haha. You have seen how I did my arca mount, but what you didn't see was my plan b. I have done that to my AirForce guns to move the center of gravity back towards the trigger. You have seen how I did my arca mount, but what you didn't see was my plan b. I had tried to do that, on my TalonP, using only the pic rail I put on the barrel but it wasn't high enough for the unsupported part. I didn't think to use an additional short cantilever rail. Yours is certainly a quick slick solution, kudos.I have done that to my AirForce guns to move the center of gravity back towards the trigger.
EagleVisionCam makes rock solid cantilever mounts. I wasn't sure about holding the weight but after 6 months of regular use it has not wiggled even a little.

Yeah, there is a low 11mm to picatinny riser in there to get the clearance.I had tried to do that, on my TalonP, using only the pic rail I put on the barrel but it wasn't high enough for the unsupported part.
