Getting less excited about the black wolf I ordered in February. Was told it'd likely be August before it's here.

I only played with it for an hour or so yesterday but the nighttime resolution is spectacular.. I actually knew it would be. I was mostly worried how I would feel about it during the day time and so far I’m really impressed. Compared to other NV units it’s tiny and not overly heavy. How you like that scope? I been looking hard at them, even put the bug in the wife's ear about it, saved to her Amazon prime for upcoming birthday. Does the night see um work pretty well? Thinking one of those on my Condor would be just the ticket for night time chicken stealing Coyotes.
Hahaha yeah United are so bad these days but I’m gonna be laughing and taking the pi$$ all summer long if we win the europa league. That Man United poster would make an excellent target to try iit out with j/k. I didn’t like my DNT TNC-225R at first, then it grew on me fast. I was sitting out at 2am last night with my Ghost and the DNT watching the rabbits with the IR and thermal imaging. I have an agreement with the wife not to shoot anything in the yard except rats and they come out too late.
WHY??? That would be torture for me. I’m a fully functioning (or at least kinda functioning don’t attack my delusions please haha) adult right up until I buy a new toy and have to wait for it to show up…then I’m basically an over caffeinated toddlerGetting less excited about the black wolf I ordered in February. So basically the same spill(lecture) I got. "Jameglenn", "first and middle name, always said as 1 word when I am facing potential trouble", Don't you shoot my wabbits...they don't hurt anything, don't chew car wires or anything else. You shoot them and you will be cut off. Yes Ma'am! Understood! Everything else is open games, even her precious chipmunks. That is a seriously bad move that hopefully she will not come to regret. I have friends that loved chipmunks too, that felt the same way, "they don't hurt anything, and are so cute," -WRONG! They both bought new retirement dream vehicles and the chipmunks got to the wiring and disabled both and caused $7,000 worth of damage! And don't get me started on how they love to dig where new plantings are and repeatedly kill $60 hybrid China tea roses! They ain't that cute. Good luck!So basically the same spill(lecture) I got. Ohhh no, I got her convinced. Chipmunks are fair game now, along with the tree rats and moles. I just can't blast the wabbits. That is a seriously bad move that hopefully she will not come to regret. Sold! You make a good rep. For the scope company. Nothing like a hunter to sell another hunter on a product!I only played with it for an hour or so yesterday but the nighttime resolution is spectacular.. I actually knew it would be. And yeah I have NV almost exclusively to hunt coyotes and jackrabbits with. Going coyote calling on Friday and I’m stoked.
I dropped a good sized fox that was getting into my landlady’s chicken coop in january…sardines makes excellent bait. I’d open a can pour the liquid around for smell then either bury the sardines or build a little cairn around it so the dog has to stop and work for its snack. A dog with his head down and mouth full isn’t paying attention.
I believe in fighting fair so when I go out to the sage and call them I’m not using bait. Even if it is legal to do so… but once they come on the property eating the livestock or poultry all bets are off. There are a lot of good NV units out there, I’ve only tried 2 of them but I have no doubt the Zulus would be more than enough to get your bandit.
I’m somewhere in between the differing opinions… I do think chipmunks are cute. Really cute actually and if I see them in their natural habitat way away from people I usually let them be….but like 99% of rodents they are nasty little assholes and hosts for a whole variety of pathogens. So any chipmunk within sight of my house or campsite is getting thwacked with extreme prejudice lol. That is a seriously bad move that hopefully she will not come to regret. Hahaha I’m so sorry bro. I’ve been told I have a bad habit of spending other people’s money for them…. Not trying to rep for anything at all (unless they pay me haha) but I do hunt a lot, like 3-4 days a week minimum. Even if it’s just an hour afterwork patrolling the property or creek bed behind the house. So my focus is always in that direction when it comes to gear.Sold! You make a good rep. When I was a little kid I thought they were harmless and cute too, then I grew up. Unfortunately, it's that way with most things, except pcp airguns, my opinion radically changed for the better there!I’m somewhere in between the differing opinions… I do think chipmunks are cute. Nothing to be sorry about. These company's make all these products and swear to there greatness, but it takes real hunters/users of the products to really tell the tale. Remember to post at the end of the week. I really wanna know how it performs!Hahaha I’m so sorry bro. I’ve been told I have a bad habit of spending other people’s money for them…. That being said I’m still gonna give it a bit before I give any real verdict. It’s easy to love something when you just unboxed it and played with it. This weekend will be the true test. Going to look scout for some rock chucks Friday day, coyote calling at night and if they don’t show well just go bunny bashing. Saturday will be squirrels and doves mostly. So by Monday I’ll know a lot better how good this thing is.
P.S.
I hate rabbits. There is no quarter for them haha. If they are in a place I can shoot them then I will haha.
I just refer to the bunnies as long eared rats. As long as the wife dont see me make them go poof, it's all good! Luckily for me she don't see so well after dark, so that in itself gives me a leg up. Hmmmm, I wonder how well some of these rattlers and copperheads would show up in the scope after dark. Yeah, we have country mountai. Issues. I'm this way when others buy a new toy I wanna play with also...WHY??? That would be torture for me. Hopefully it gets there sooner.
They can be quite invasive if you don’t control their numbers though hahaJust the usual can plinking.
I was hoping to plink a can or 12 today, but work went quite long.Just the usual can plinking.
Fail… Captain O-ring kit on its way for 2nd attempt.
