Basically spent all day working on this beauty. I got a pro tip to drop some silicone oil in the hose before filling the gun. In order to help the reg break in and it’s actually made a difference. Reg is a lot easier to move as it doesn’t require as much dry firing to settle. It’s also a hell of a lot more “snappy” now.
I also perfected the first half of a “dual” tune. Basically, I’m doing a heavy slug and light weight slug setup on the same tune. The only thing that will change is the hammer spring settings…. Probably sounds dumb but I really think it can be done. I believe I have found a spot on the reg that I can shoot a 47.2gr Nielsen at 1000fps AND shoot 71gr hybrid boat tails @900fps.
Basically I think I can do this because I already have. I’ve gotten the 71gr to 900fps already and today I perfected the 47.2gr tune… lol 1000fps and I’m not sure if the BC I have for that slug is correct. Took a 139.6y shot at a squirrel today. With a 75y zero the calculator predicted a 3.1mil hold… sailed the first shot so went 2.5mil on the hold and his life was spared by a small branch 1” in front of his left cheek.

So I still gotta work on BC numbers to figure it out but yeah. Turns out you can do a super light as fast set up on this gun.
Stay tuned for the 71s… I ordered a bunch more so I can fine tune before I show them off haha. I only had a little sampler of them but I liked them so much I ordered 500 of them the day after getting them in the mail haha.
