Put my BSA Meteor Super .22 back together after receiving a new barrel.

Before installing the new barrel, I cleaned it thoroughly and performed a light polish.

What is a barrel polish? Been meaning to ask this for a while now. And it kept slipping my mind.

@JimT66 , I would watch more than one tutorial on polishing an Airgun barrel before attempting. Just my advice as it is possible to ruin a good one by over doing it.

Had no idea. I've always cleaned they way I was taught 50 years ago. I wasn't even aware this existed.I will sure have to give it a go. Thanks!

So this is safe for PCP guns as well? No worry of detonation at high pressure?

Yes,
1.Thoroughly clean the barrel first.
2. Polish the barrel as needed or required.
3. Thoroughly clean the barrel again to remove bore bright.

@JimT66 some Airguns are notorious for needing the barrels to be polished.

The way i polish is to clean barrel then get the proper size bore mop and smear jb on the entire mop. Run that through the barrel and back 40-60 times. Clean out any residue and shoot. If the next time you clean you find little flecks of lead repeat if patches come out pretty clean leave alone.

I verified the leak was remedied on my PP750. Aired it up. Shot some Daisy hollow points I picked up cheap. Good enough for pesting in my yard.
Shot the Air Arms 7.87’s again. When my cheek press was light and I held in the right spot it did well. 10m indoors

Figured out my ID10T error for the Pinty, and charged it to 3600. Hand pumped the Avenger back to ~3500 from the ~1800 it had settled at after charging to 3600 last night. Opened delivery to find moderators for my Pinty, watched a few YT videos because I'm very behind on my normal channels, little more hoping for tonight before bed.

I checked the zero on my Snowpeak P35 25 cal. It’s set up for night duty with a Pard NV008S. It’s been a few days, so I let two pellets fly at 18 yards. That’s the distance from my office window to my bird feeder.

Two pellets touching in the red, she’s ready as usual. The red is .6” across. Front supposed butt shouldered just like I take my pest shots. I pulled the first shot to the left a little. I’ve been shooting my Notos, which has a trigger not nearly as nice as the P35. FX 25 grain going 780 fps

That Snowpeak shoots awesome! You have it dialed in perfectly.

I shot about 150 very bad shooting .30 pellets just to get rid of them. Shot a Firebird 65. Wow!! Loud doesn’t describe the sound they make!!

It wasn't the Rifle brand of pellets was it? They're cheap but don't shoot good at all in my two 30 caliber rifles. Those Firebirds really put out a BANG don't they?

I purchased my first higher end pcp air rifle. Airguns of Arizona sold me a used Brocock Bantam 22 with 480cc bottle so im pretty excited to shoot it when it comes in! Thanks to Pasadena Mike for encouraging me to save up and get a better rifle.

If you remove the shroud, yes. That is what Nibs did. I ordered an adapter from someone on agn/gta, but it was supposed to have been mailed out Monday last week and I still haven't received it. Ohio to Virginia is not far, and my PMs go unanswered. Moderators are from redcorn outdoors.

If you meant for my Avenger, donnyfl adapter and buck rail moderator. After filling to 3500 again, it was at 3k just a bit ago. We shall see in the morning. Laminate is beautiful, but not worth it if it won't hold air from the start.
