I'm actually thinking about getting a Ruger 10/22... Powder burner version.
A squirrel hunt is happening in February sponsored by my conservation club. 22 cal required.

sounds like it would be a really great excuse to get a .22 cal PCP?

I've got a few .22 PCPs. The Disco would be nice to take except I get 8-9 good shots and would need to take a hand pump to the field. The Marauder's a little to bulky even with a sling. The Zelos is also bulky, although I have a 600cc bottle and 3 magazines (2 more on the way with HAM points). The Little Lost Sheep, my FWB124 Sport would be nice but she's a .177. Still, I could use a 10/22 for target practice (more time for the range in '26) and for possible home protection.

Wouldn't you think that it should be the Evol Hunter HPS. There's been 3 different newly released Evol offerings and the Hunter is due.

Honestly....I just want to shoot what i have! I recieved my HW50S a few weeks back now, ran 3 pellets through it, held it alot, cleaned the barrel, drooled some, but haven't been able to sight it in yet and group it. Winter hit like a ton of bricks here.
I get 6 days worth of sick day pay (aka "Christmas Airgun money") and I had a few days left that got paid out....that covered the HW. Gonna ask the inlaws if I can shoot in their greenhouse over the holidays....nicely lit up, indoors, warm, no wind, 50Yards...could be REAL nice!

This might sound crazy to some Hamsters. I’m really excited for one thing in particular on this coming Christmas Day. The grandson that I’ve promised to take hunting is getting a Daisy 880 powerline rifle as one of his presents from his mom. I suggested it so that he could practice his marksmanship in his backyard. I’m excited, because with over fifty years of airgunning, I’ve never fired a pump up airgun LOL. I can’t wait to try it with him on Christmas Day.
