What did you buy/receive today?

Joined the Athlon club today and kind of the Vortex club (rings). Athlon Ares Gen2 15-60x. The reticle is tiny and faint. It took 5 minutes to zero. I’ve never used a focus wheel and love it. It’s lighter than my Discoverys. Focus does snap in. The eye box is a little less forgiving than my other scopes. Once I get used to it, I’m going to really like it. I have several IR scopes and never even turn them on. I might have to with this scope. As usual I can’t turn the IR ring LOL.

Anyone know of a good source to get a 1/2x20 unf male to female extension? For the Buster to clear for the fill probe. And sorry I did not buy anything but with help or more scanning the world wide web I will!

Edit: I found one on eBay for 29$ after shipping. Hard to believe I can't find it cheaper though.

I feel like someone had this, but can't remember right now. I do know that Angel at RCO sells conversion so your fill probe cover spins (like the vanguard) rather than lift like the rest of the pinty line, so that you don’t need an adapter or remove moderator in order to fill.

My new moderators from EAG 3D came in. 2 versions of Year of the Pumper because I couldn't decide which I liked best.
One reads: Pump up the fun; not the noise
The other: Year of the Pumper; Papa T Adventures
I plan to paint the words in metallic miniature paints, once I decide color(s) I want to use.

The red, white, and blue ones are America's 250th ones. All 5 are in 177/22 cal, and plan to give a 250 one away at the end of my Time to Pump it Up Challenge. I've heard good reports about their effectiveness, so looking forward to trying them out.

I hadn't planned on buying another rifle but ..purchased an avenge x tactical, gx cs2 and element helix case and some pellets 3 weeks ago for dirt cheap. It showed up 22 days after I bought it, almost no use on the equipment. Impressed by the feel of the tactical stock. Can't wait to shoot it later today. Half the pellets are gone as they weren't packaged well but it was still a steal of a deal.

Picked up my avenge x .22 barrel and some pellets, metal to metal paste from my dad's place where I usually send packages. The box was cut open, tip of the inlet of the barrel looks like it has a scrape mark. This was at 5 am and I don't have time to inspect everything else. UPS dropped the ball or something happened. His porch is up a flight of stairs and the package wasn't visible from the street. I wonder how it was opened because pops said he didn't even notice it. I'll have to look it over after work. Regardless I'm going to go shoot after work.

I checked the box and every thing was there except the pellet probe, the barrel was removed from the plastic that pyramid shipped it in but still in the box. I guess I'll make a UPS claim tomorrow and contact pyramid about purchasing the probe. The outer edge of the barrel, where the pellet insert is rough and will need filed. I did notice when looking at that the barrel also has a metal sliver in the transfer port on the inside of the barrel, that wouldn't be the shippers fault. I am very surprised that a bare barrel end is shipped in a very light barrel shaped plastic bag basically. Seem you would want a foam wrap protecting that end. The other end is surrounded by the shroud.
