I’m making auto resetting units for the targets and was wondering if the bases are the same size, how thick the targets are and weight of the falling plates? Will eliminate strings and walking down to reset stuck strings as well as safety on the range.

That would be nice he had targets from aoa and swinger targets. The club i shoot at shoots hp matches basically the same as eft and we shoot modified gamo targets 3/16” & 1/4” mild steel faceplates and reinforced paddles to 80 fpe for the last 3 yrs and they are holding up but they are clamped to 4” i think cap blocks (concrete) if that helps you. I really don’t think you need ar plate though it is probably stronger but more expensive. Good luck with your project and keep me informed on your progress.

The unit fits in a box and the plate protects the electronics and workings.

Can you get me a few dimensions of the bases bolt or stake pattern? Maybe some photos?

Is there anywhere that has these kinds of events listed with entry fees? Would be cool to try and go to a event.

Most eft events are out west oregon 1 in fla and 1 in pa. There might be a couple more I don’t know of a complete list. There are some high power field target events at local clubs and some other club events. Eft is owned by someone out west so club matches who don’t want to pay to use the eft handle use other names. Best i could say is watch the field target listing on agn or here for info. Perhaps someone else might chime in with events they know of.
