I have one in .22 cal that is pretty accurate when the stock screws are snugged up but not tightened, and it is POI sensitive to just how much they are tightened. I just hit the stock screws with a little VibraTite to help keep those screws as adjusted. But so far, I'd call it a pretty good shooter, nothing more. And I feel that it is capable of more.

It is running right around 13 to 14 fpe, which is about where it should be. Shot cycle seems just a little slow, and ends with more thump than expected at that power level. It is somewhat hold sensitive when shooting in my basement, but not at 25 yards. I suspect that is due to the major hold difference when shooting at different bulls at such short range.

So, I'm wondering how it might benefit from 1. some stock work - bedding and/or adding some dampening material to the mounting points; and 2. replacing the stock piston seal with a Vortek which may give better cushioning to the piston. (If he makes one)

I like this little rifle. I even like the trigger, which many do not. I feel that is a very good, shootable field trigger especially if you hunt in cold weather. I want it to be a spectacular shooter. And if possible, not hold sensitive.

So if anyone has any insight for me, please post here.

Thanks!

Well! I didn't know that was available, planned on turning a top hat and spring guidemfrom delrin.
Very cool to see. Evidently I'm not.imagining the slow lock time, and it's at least.partly due to a heavy piston.
It may be a lot.of fun to tune this Terrus.

Thank you H.M.N.

If you can self make them try it out .. ,👍

Just saw that the trigger housing has many functions and evidently an integral spring guide. I hear that its undersized as well (though it isnt twangy). Maybe I'll find a replacement spring that fits it properly, or make up a soda bottle type sleeve.

I'd prefer no sleeve though.

PA has a blog on measuring up a spring then with that math contact arh and see if he has or can make one up ..

Outside that I don't know especially on that gun .. if that guide id integrated to the trigger assembly. Id guess that sleeve and stock spring is the option .?

I have one, purchased almost NIB. I found JSB Stratons gave me best accuracy. (I have never read that sentence anywhere else). But also, I found the best hold was the same as what I use on my deer rifle, firmly snuggled into my shoulder, firm cheek weld, and my hand out by the forearm stock screws. So I adjusted as much of the first stage out as I could (the only trigger adjustment the screw makes), to mimic the single-stage trigger on my Remington 700, and I use it for cheap deer rifle practice in the off season.

The only tuning I did was a light shot of Tune in a Tube on the spring, and cleaning the barrel with JB Non-embedding Bore Paste.
