Right lower group was me adjusting scope down a few clicks, so ignore that too. It is by no means broken in yet. I'd bet 100 pellets through her at most.

Cool. I think that I will try the 4.51, and am thinking about h&n barracuda 8.

Had a very calm/warm enough (and wet!!) day finally to get the TX back out. Still not broken in, 10 shot groups give or take a pellet. All AA 8.2 grain in 4.51. Started at 21 yards top group. First 2 shots were the low ones, The next 3 went high. Then from there started hitting the bullseye....strange!? Check out that left to right though!! Ended the day with the top right group and it was getting pretty dark by then. Gun printed all around the dot but refused to hit it Using my mechanic seat and old table I use to clean rims on with some sturdy foam chunks. Have pulled the trigger twice now with this gun it is sooo light. Excited to try 35/40 yards soon weather permitting.

Lol yeah I did a scrap run for my brother a while back and he threw that in the trailer...I said hey I can use that!! With that seat it is actually perfect height and I like being closer to the ground Desperately needs a new longer top, or I may just build a new foldable shooting table similar to this! I was originally thinking to go beech stock but lefty configuration was walnut only. Love it so far but does need a bit more gloss on that wood!

Anyone order a Walnut stock from pyramid air? Did it look ok? Did it look like a 2x4? I spoke with customer service, and they are unwilling to send a picture of the stock before they ship the rifle.

That’s really gorgeous with the oil. Is it oily feeling or it dries ?

Definitely don't be setting your walnut stocked AA guns on anything wet as I found out! In seconds the wood will be stained and damaged. I'm in the process of Tru oiling my TX AFTER I found that out. That Tung oil is super glossy wow!

Maybe use Thompson's as a top finish? It seals and protects ..

Here's what I used. I learned about it from a guy who made a table for us......They also make one with a tint in it....After 2 coats of the "oil" (It's more like a wax when you put it on) and letting it dry I applied their wax also.....Not slippery and beads water great!!!!

And it's food safe so if you drop a snack on it, while out shooting, no worries just lick it off...

It dries and not the least bit sticky or oily feeling. Very light sanding with super fine paper between coats. Apply with finger, very light coat each time and allow to dry 24 hrs between coats. Mine has 20 coats on it. If scratched, just apply coat over scratch and it’s like new again.

Does the walnut make any one more accurate then say beech ? Kinda like we say in hot rods. Some are all show but no go....

Well, we shall see in a couple of days. It's on the way, I decided to roll the dice.

I do not think you will be disappointed, I find the stocks to be quite nice but the gun is just sweet to shoot and very easy to strip and work on.

I haven't had to work on mine yet but she is slinging pellets slower than I'd like! One draw about the TX was how easy it is to strip apparently......It came shooting the 8.4 gr at about 860/880 now it's doing about 810fps.☹ Accuracy is still insane so I leave it for now. I have only about 400 pellets through it my guess so not sure what is up!?

The breach seals (yes, there are two) began to leak early on with my TX200. I would suggest that you try the "tissue test" for your peace of mind. This is accomplished by placing something akin to a kleenex over the breach and then firing a pellet. If the tissue is blown by a burst of air (even a small one), you have a leak. These seals are extremely quick and easy to replace. Orv.

Hmm thanks I will try that! It started 'honking' in the cold when I cocked it and after half hour of that I oiled the metal sliding breech cover. In the case it went and next time I chronied it, it was quiet but slow. I'll see what it's doing once it warms up more, I may have to watch a repair video on it, only ever had the stock off so far.

I got a walnut TX 200 last year from topairgun.com. It came in with the prettiest stock of any of my airguns. I also picked up a ProSport from them a couple of months later, still very nice wood, flowing contrast grain. The Tx has more burl in the buttstock.
