Three Unlucky Starlings for the Pathfinder XR…

Went down to my permission today, but the action was very slow and so was I. Anyway these unlucky three presented for the “thwack!” The JSB Exact Jumbo 18s simply devastate them at 30 yards… My Pathfinder strikes a sweet balance between my Atomics and Ghost Carbine. Currently its the one I reach for the most… After this pic, some of the chickens and roosters pecked the crap out of the dead starlings. And last week I saw Starlings in the trap in the hoop house cannibalizing their dead brethren…🙈

LL, I took my first starling Sat afternoon with my Katran Standard & Hades at 30yrds. I noticed they are starting to group up at the traditional nesting spots at the farm. I'll have to check the silage piles & bunkers now.

The Pathfinder XR is an undersung PCP. What I love about it the most is that the first shot is always on target. Simply a sweet pesting machine…
My experience with the Sniper XR and your reports on the Pathfinder have convinced me of that first shot fact. Very consistent shooters. The lack of .22 cal Pathfinders in stock was the only reason I did not pick one up Saturday. So, got the We the Plinkers Atomic package and added the picatinny rails up top. Shoots great so far. Even with the 25.39 grain Monsters. Would have thought those would be too heavy. Good stuff.

This is a five shot group with my Atomic at 30 yards today sending CPHPs. Bipod front, shoulder as rear bag, my Atomic is also a little pesting machine… The sticker is 3/4”… Then I went back inside as it too darn cold out…
