So , after grooming the Holey Fridge range. I said damn, let's see if this thing is as easy to tune as everyone says it is.

IT IS.

I wanted to do this out on the shooting bench to test this, well unscrewed the bottle quite easily, dry fired the air left in the rifle out, wallah, downward adjustment here we come.

I love it , seriously too easy for a rifle that can't be adjusted under pressure.

I am waiting on a sabertactical picatinny extender so I can use my Goliath, shooting at the bench off a bag seems so unnatural , although my Armageddon fat bag makes it better than my last outing. Shooting off a bag when pesting feels right, just not here 🤷‍♂️.

And yes that is the range master also admiring.

Anyways, sitting down to shoot, I do have to say, this trigger takes a lot of getting used to if it's as is out of the box. I could see a lot of newbie shooters pulling every shot because of it. However my next goal is to play with the trigger and see how good I can get it. As others like @Franklink have gotten them pretty good ?

She knows when it's time to lay down, when dad sits at the bench and sights in.

Ok ok, now onto the tune. This is with JTS 29.63 gr .25 , I think she's pretty right.

Also, pictured is a 30 shot groups on said tune at 50 yards. Running on 2 hours of sleep in 40 hours, I'll take it :)

I do really like this rifle so far even though there are some things I would definitely change , the trigger for instance however that can be remedied (i hope).

It's definitely a power house, this thing with a slug oriented barrel could definitely sling some 60 grain Altaros, I know that for a fact.

Sounds like you’re off to a decent start. An external reg adjustment would be nice, but at least it’s just a matter of removing the bottle. Too bad about the trigger, but hopefully you’ll be able to remedy it without to much Tylenol. 😁

The reg adjustment is pretty simple, just turn the knob directly above the bottle, the bottle removal is just to degas the rifle and it still maintains pressure in the bottle , so screw it back on, all set.

I used the sun 12 airgunner video on trigger adjustment, and that worked well. I didn't see any mention of the SD only the velocity shown. I was able to tune mine down to an SD of 1.9 and the accuracy was outstanding as well as the rifle becoming efficient in its use of air.
I am going to check out that video 100%

I have the SD at 2.1

I appreciate threads like this. I bought my Ghost used from AoA and have no idea if the previous owner had done anything to the trigger or not. I adjusted it as low as it would go using the Sub12 group post and the BRK manual. I would like it to be lighter and so I might swap out the springs. I did the same thing to my Barra and it helped a lot. Looking at the various posts, I need to look at my reg pressure, it’s set how it came from AoA - approximately 168 bar. @CTAirgunner please keep posting your progress.

Also loving this thread! One word of caution about dry firing the Ghost. If you plan to degas and tune it alot DONT dry fire it down, but instead crack a gauge. Your valve will thank you! The manual says to dry fire it down...but don't if you can help it.
You mentioned someone might pull the shot with your trigger? Done that a few times with my TX, but definitely never with my Ghost trigger....you mean it's been adjusted down real light? I also don't love my Ghost trigger...it does have some second stage creep/gritiness and it's a little too much weight 😐
