My Paradigm just got the paradigm of foam for a new mattress. It's used in the aerospace industry and you can literally soak this stuff in brake cleaner for a day and this stuff is unfazed. It's Zote Foam LD45, and it's non pourous and inert, in other words, awesome! Extremely heavy duty. I have a friend in the high-end of the custom container industry that just got into airgunning (finally) and he is trying to get his company (OSAAP) to pander to us airgunnners but they don't know if there would be enough a business in it at the level they work at. They ususally do stuff for SpaceX, Amazon, and gov't military contracts. I really don't know if there would be either but they made me a case for proof of concept and test design and I am tickled pink! Right place at the right time for once. He is talking about going to the N.A.C. this year as it is right in our neighborhood. I think that they definatey should, to get a good idea about how serious airgunners are about protecting their babies. I would go and display this if they want, it's the least I could do, right? I just asked for an insert to a Plano case that I already had because I don't like to advertise by having a super high end case on the outside. Besides, I don't fly anywhere with it so it really doesn't matter to me. It will be interesting to actually see if there is any interest, and in what. I think they might have to go with less exotic foam to keep the price down. I guess it depends on how much business they want. I really love the logo design lasered on the back, they did a great job.

It's not a cut-out either. That is actually milled out from the top. The bottom half is one piece of foam, so things won't slide under anything and barriers won't move. I have several sized plugs for the big square which are sized for different pellet brands and the square itself fits the FX Hybrids box, which is actually underneath those JSB 50gr pellets.

That is simply sweet! Something I think they could do is get there hands on some different gun cases and make the inserts to sell to folks. Ex. my sweet sweet Ghost has a nice case, but the foam....it's already wearing down. Now, if I could buy an insert, rip out the old original foam and glue that in my Brk case I'd be sold! I know Scout, FX, Brk and many other pcps come in a decent hard case. I hate the thought of throwing the cases out, but to improve it with this upgrade would be money well spent to me.

That's a real nice case. If that company made foam cut-out inserts for sale, made to order to the inside dimensions of popular cases like Pelican and Plano they would sell. There's a demand for good non-moiature collecting foam inserts.
We will see. I posted it here for the exposure, to see if there would actually be a market for it.

that is super cool!!
what we need is a distributor to invest in stocking these to get the best price most likey.
I assume they dont want to do one offs here and there?
or do they?
Actually, they kind of do want to be able to do one offs, or multiples. They took a precise picture at a calibrated distance of my gun and accessories to set into the program that cuts out the foam and then they tweek it to fit. The more they do, and work out the details, the better and faster everthing goes. They need to build a data base up of sizes of common, but high-end guns. These are not going to be a bargain, ever, these are the best. So, they are going after the market with the best guns, you know, something worth protecting and yes, showing off.

Dude , come on...... this is making me twitch, this is, beautiful. It is something of desire.... the tease / want is real.

As far as NAC , I don't think its happening this year but I do know the Berkshire Airgun Challenge is.

I used available raw materials (like that shown) to line the police type rifle box in my SUV. It is a PITA to work with and since I don't have much patience it doesn't look anywhere as nice as this does. Even with my hack job approach my rifles are safe when transported in said case.

Carl - that is beautiful - nice to see an airgun instead of a powder burner nestled in multi layer foam

WHAT? When did they decide to not do NAC? Serves me right for assuming anything. That is really a shame. Every other commodity has a cartel, I guess the airgun industry needs one too, to make sure sure that the shows go on. lol

Yeah I have John French on a couple social media accounts and I saw he had posted that there would be no NAC this year. Not a single peep from any other shooters either about going etc, the big thing is ...

Out in Granby MA, beautiful area. I'd argue this is a better spot than the Sig Sauer Academy anyways. Theyve got a 1000 yard range there, already hold NRL 22 events there, etc. Its on 130 acres....

Not to hijack but now you know.

Thanks for the info! You're right, that looks to be a lot better than Sig Academy. Sig is too tight. Not a fan of having to be bussed around, or golf carts. It has to be expensive as hell to use for the event too. Hopefully Northeast Airguns will just start using the Granby location instead.

@Pumacarl This reminds me of what was once called “pop trunk” in Texas. Guys used to have custom neon lights beneath the lid of their trunks. It wasn’t uncommon to see guys in the cities at a stop light at night with loud music playing and I guess they’d hit a button inside and the trunk would open slowly revealing a lighted name, logo, slogan, etc in neon lights. Your gun case reminds me of those days. That’s a nice looking case Carl.

That's the best looking case and foam layout i have ever seen! Makes the rifle just "pop" when you open the case. Awesome!
