1377-Type The 1322 is getting dressed up and improved little by little.

I pulled the 1322 out and finally ordered up the components I wanted for it for a long time. By way of Airgun Revisions came custom teak grips and forepiece. Along with the grips I also purchased the steel breach upgrade. I finished with the installs the other day and have decided I am going to perform a little comparative contest between the 1322 and my RPA .177

There’s going to be several stages to this comparison on a separate post. It should turn out to be interesting to say the least. A nearly 50 year old design up against a modern regulated pcp.
I’ll let you in a little secret…
The 1322 working off of 8 pumps is EXTREMELY consistent. The RPA has real competition. Is the pumper gonna be like this the entire time? Unlikely, but you have to admit, a zero SD/Spread is pretty dang cool. More to come. This is with 18.1 gr FX pellets. Stay tuned.

Curious, aren't you comparing apples to oranges with this shoot off? The Reximex RPA IMO is a better gun.

That teak is absolutely gorgeous, and looking forward to how the pistol performs for you as I prepare to start a similar journey with my brother's 1322 for him.

Sort of. The comparison is over with and the results are going into a separate post today. It’s a bleak and rainy day so a final comparison write up is in order. It’s not so cut and dry after all.

The sight is off the factory plastic breech.

When you say it won’t work, do you mean the screw isn’t long enough to attach the rear sight?

I was thinking the same thing on the front sight myself, but I have not researched to see if anyone has one. Personally I’d love a tru-glo fiber optic front sight. I’ll have to take a look and see what, if anything is available to replace the front plastic sight.

No the milled flatspot isn't milled out enough, like on yours. Look at the two online in pictures ,and you'll see what I mean.
