Blackwolf TAC chassis release this weekend

Scriv, it looks like 65 days ago we both invested in a Blackwolf. Got a call today from AOA mine is in also. Prices stayed as quoted. Quality company AOA. Now in just a few days I will have some testing to do.
Waiting is difficult but rewarding.

Yes, I have been waiting for 150 days personally, but it is what it is. I am no stranger to waiting for custom firearms, and archery equipment to be built. Waiting on production items was a bit unexpected, but I guess marketing out paced production. No matter, the rifles will be here soon, and the testing, and tuning will begin. Fun will be had by all.

and for those that are wondering, yes, Daystate levelled the gauges.

grabbed some jsb 10.3's, and to be fair I'm rusty as I haven't been shooting due to the extreme heat we've been under the last month. Put a Donny fl Ryu on it because it barks, other than that it is as delivered at 25 yards. Cocking is smooth as silk, trigger seems nice so far.

Shooters have made comparisons to the Ghost likely because they share the same power wheel, or maybe because they are mechanical which is unusual for Daystate these days? I don't know. What I did notice is that I have a Ghost HP in .177, and using the same 10.3 gn JSB's the BW perform better velocity wise. The ghost is set at a reg pressure of 105, the BW at 100. The ghost has a 23" barrel as opposed to the 17" on the BW. The SD is 2, or less as they sit, yet the ghost velocity is 917 as opposed to 975 on the Black Wolf. Not sure if this means anything as the Black Wolf has about fifty pellets though it, but some may find it interesting. Just something I noticed.

The blackwolf has a larger transfer port and is supposed to have a slightly larger plenum. Thats what accounts for the higher velocity as i understand. I believe they set up the blackwolf to be more slug capable from the get go. The comparison to the ghost is because that’s essentially what it is but set up as a conventional rifle

I was aware of those differences in the plenum, and transfer port. My impressions are that they are completely different rifles, which lead to my curiosity about the comparison.
