Sonoran Sonoran .30, ready for work

Set up the Sonoran .30 with Guide thermal, the SubMoa barrel likes the 50gr Howlers. Planning to get out for some Coyote and pig hunting soon. This is definitely a workhorse of a gun and something I feel could be roughed up a bit in the field.

After some more time using it I'll probably throw out a review, so far I'm impressed.

Those seemed like weird guns to me from the beginning.... the partial bull pup things is odd. Either go all in with a bullpup or stick with a standard style rifle.

But if the rifle performs like it should.... then looks be darned

Oh yeah - this rifle performs. Mine was shooting near MOA with 45gr AEA on it's first day out in 30 degree weather. I haven't tried slugs at any distance but I will next trip out.

The only drawback to the hybrid bullpup is it makes scope mounting difficult.

I agree with Dana. I like that it's a more rugged so not afraid to beat it up a little.

I did not think it was a hybrid bullpup?
so is it just pulled back into the stock a % farther then normal

Yeah it's a hybrid, much better to carry than a traditional length and far less awkward than a bullpup. For offhand shooting I think it's pretty much as good of balance as you can really find. The area I'm going is pretty awful as far as brush and having to literally crawl with it haha so it's definitely gonna become a club.

That rifle shot great in Texas….It would be a great hunting rifle, but also a great EFT rifle to compete with.
