So what is the perfect Airgun in an emergency?

Let’s say stuck in the middle of the woods, maybe snowed in or something? I’d take a Benjamin 392 to get some small game for a stew. I’ve taken many vermin with one, they’re easy to carry, easy to maintain, and have their built in power plant.

I am more and more impressed with the BM8, and would say it’s worth pondering, though I have yet to take it on a hunt.

The Escape…. Man….. I love this gun…. Powerful, easy to carry, very simple…. But it sucks manually pumping. It can be done…. But not very fun. You could argue though, approximately 12-15 pumps with a hand pump replenishes one shot. That’s not too terrible considering how many pumps for a weaker shot from a 392 multi pump.

It definitely depends on what the emergency is I guess?! If it's a dangerous situation id grab the big boi...the Ghost. If it's a survival situation, ie hunting to survive, it's the S510 and hand pump. Some people may disagree but I have put a few thousand pellets through it last year and between filling both my pcps i replaced Zero o-rings last shooting season on the pump, just one strip and relube. That is ALOT of hand pumping.

Squirrels for dinner🤣..

And then that annoying neighbors 🙀 (🤮)when we've hit Sociological Mad Max status...Jk....I'd probably just eat their prized rose garden🤣🤣🤣
Where we are staying there’s always Ring Security Camera Community posts about coyotes 😋 pineapple yote , lemon yote, coconut yote, pepper yote, yote soup, yote stew, yote salad……

I suppose it's a sliding answer, depending on the duration, geographic impact and overall critical nature of the "emergency".
One might argue a mid-bore PCP with a hand pump could take small and medium-large game with some diligence and stalking.
If a wider range of opportunity is necessary, a 20 gauge smoothbore flintlock, only a rock, powder and shot/balls needed. No caps, primers, preloaded ammo.
And beyond that...how are your archery and trapping skills coming along?
