Ok, who has ran slugs through their Nightfall? Any success so far? I have tried a few, and the ONLY 1 I can reliably(comparatively speaking) shoot is the Apolo 18 grain slugs. And they aint nothing to write home about. My Nightfall shoots the 18 grain pellets at 915 to 920fps so speed shouldn't be an issue at 40 meters. Granted my Hades kills any 4 legged critter I want to kill at this range, but the ability to shoot slugs, even if I want to ice pic a coyote to death, would be nice. I don't care I the coyote suffers. He kills my barn cats. My chickens. And occasional dog. He should share in the pain. Anyway, anyone tried them out in their Nightfall? Any luck? Share the knowledge wealth!

What's the twist rate of the barrel? Shooting pellets at one speed doesn't mean that the slugs are going to shoot that fast. There's more bearing surface to a slug and the twist rate needs to be fast enough to stabilize the slug . Are the slugs close to the groove diameter? Pellets are more forgiving than slugs and generally pellets do better with a slower twist rate than slugs.

Wish I could tell you what the twist is, but I don't have a clue. Don't remember ever hearing anyone say. If I have to stick with the Hades and similar pellets in the Nightfall I will, the ability to shoot slugs is just a fooling around fascination. Especially at the ranges I shoot. I've got a double handful of higher power .22's ,.25's and a .30 that will drill slugs with no problem.
