Only that he thought the HPS was an older model than the PRS. My only knowledge of the rifles is that I cannot afford one. Surprised they let me touch it.

Tom is the guy that invented the rifle, and owns the company that produces them.

the original HPS guns had HPS on them I dont think the new HPS is intended to be high power slug gun they have morphed into a differant animal.
but the old slugger as best I know said HPS on the side
the gun you posted pics of just says EVOL 22 I dont think it was one of the original slug guns.

The next 3 photos are the day I acquired (in my opinion) the holy grail of small bore utility rifles..... it sort of lead to a sickness I call, Evolism... where, its all you want to shoot!






Now onto the scientific data.... the next group of photos is some testing I did with my 15.89 hades in my evol mini to showcase this rifles ridiculous repeatability. In considerable winds at that.

This shooting was done in a little over a half hour. Each group is 1 mag, there is no cherry picking here, shooting 15.89 hades at 865 fps.

5 groups at each distance.

Thank you for the info. With that then, neither of the .22 rifles had HPS on them, just Evol 22. So, likely more inline with what you said. The 15” here

I kind of got that drift, knowing it was someone’s makeup on the stock was kind of a giveaway . Although I did assume that your first mention of MRDS was just about the rifle model and not “your” rifle lol.

Yeah, I saw it as I was packing the rifle, and recalled that my daughter was the last one to shoot it. I wiped it with a cloth, but was not about to put solvent on something that was no longer mine.

I did not. I wanted a pellet rifle, and it was suggested to me to try those MRDs. It was amazing.

That's what makes me think this barrel is for pellets and why.slugs don't shoot well in it.

I would agree. At the time I bought it, I was learning as much about evols as I could. I saw this one for sale, and even though it said slugger, it didn't look right so I called. I spoke with the gent who sold it originally, took it back on trade, and subsequently sold it to me. I was clear that I had no interest in a slug gun, and he assured me that this rifle dotes in the MRDs previously mentioned. I don't know why it is designated as a slugger, but the gun likes what it likes. Now I just have to figure out what I'm going to do with all these MRDs.

Huben GK1 in .22 and steel reactive targets would dwindle that stash quickly.

Monster ReDesigns, ( MRDs I would rather use the words ) because they just shoot good in anything In my humble veiw? but they also other pellets great as well.
if you could swing it you I dont think you can find a better gun.
you might find something that fits you better but as far as I am concerned the AAA guns are the best I have yet to see. now there may be other reason why you would not want one but I am closing to leave those politics out LOL
I now three EVOLs and love all three there are other gun I would like but I can see me ever parting with one of the EVOL guns.

Your post reminds me of a story from the past. I had a friend that was looking for a shotgun. He wanted an over/under, and preferred a used one to conserve funds. He was left handed, so that was another hurdle. Well, road trip to my favorite shop in a neighboring state was in order. We perused the racks for a bit, and I found a beautiful left handed specimen. Try it out, I said. He shouldered it, you could see the light go on as he realized it fit well. Then he took it off his shoulder, admired it's beauty. When he looked at the tag, and read $18,000 he could have, well you get the idea. I laughed all the way home. Good thing we weren't looking at the new ones.
