I've had a couple customers call since last week's video and request an "iguana gun." That is a much harder request then you would think because the requirements are usually: quiet, built like a tank, not heavy, and of course look good while doing it. So I wanted to show you what a few of my customers are requesting. This is the Sahara performance with a 17" barrel with a 0db Magnum out front, and he wanted an Aztec on top. This is producing right at 30fpe for 100 shots.

Why the Sahara? Stupid reliable. Nothing to break on it. Made in England - very quiet and light for a full-sized bullpup.

At 32.25" length with a modest weight at 7.5lb with optics it's easy to see why the Sahara makes a great pesting rifle.

That's a great one hole group you shot there! Nice rifle.

Very nice! These definitely caught my attention, i wouldn't consider it a bullpup though.

Whats the noise level like without the moderator attached? Beautiful group, I'm curious what distance you were shooting from? Are all the Sahara 22s youve tested consistently producing the same accuracy?

Yes Sahara's are always accurate. If you want give me a call and I'll run you by some facts on it but it is definitely the best bang for buck on quality you can get - by a long shot 🤔. I was shooting at 50yd and then after he wanted it zeroed at 30 for iguanas.

The 177 Sahara is also da bomb.
As for without moderator that all depends on the speed and pellet and conditions and a million other variables. It is one of the quietest rifles on the market, especially with a 0db like the Magnum .30 (yes larger bore size for the moderator but usually volume over all keeps the noise down best, and the Magnum definitely has a lot more volume than the 0db 160 model.

Anyway - got it done and dusted and it's being shipped out tomorrow, but I did film its accuracy but you know me I take millions of years to produce anything. Cheers

My standard Sniper 22 shooting 18gr pellets at 875fps needs no moderator, it is very quiet and I like them really quiet or I'd put an moderator on it.
Completely agree it's among the quietest already, especially at the power level that it is at. Daystate Revere may have it slightly beat on the noise but usually 2-3fpe less, and of course many shots less (some 80 shots less). Additionally, there is no fill probe on the Sahara and the stock is better suited to the brutality of pesting.

The Pathfinder is another contender, easily, and may have some benefits over the Sahara in the folding stock, but the 17" barreled Sahara is just so, dang conservative on the air!

I've had three or four Snipers, still have the first one I bought, and HR and it's one of the most reliable airguns I've ever owned. I know new designs have come along, side levers are the rage, (and I like them too), but this ole bolt action girl will outshoot most anything I've ever had. Brk has made one of the best engineered airguns ever.

Indubitably they are brilliant
