I have the above rifle which I was given new in the 1950's. It has the safety through the stock, .177 cal and has not been shot since the late 1950's I have purchased the required reseal parts and installed everything as per instructions by our colleagues on youtube. I have a new pump cup and felt insert as well as new O rings and check valve parts.
It appears to be pumping but I cannot get it to shoot when I pull the trigger. The trigger does not seem to be cocking the check valve arrangement properly. As you might suspect this is my first time attempting this projects. I moved the trigger spring to make the trigger more stiff attempting to get it to lock into the valve mechanism. No luck.
With this probably inadequate description are there any suggestions to get the trigger to set properly to let the valve hold pressure and then shoot?
Thank you
