Benchrest Revised X-Shot 75yd using 50y target

That’s the best part of this you can compete from wherever you have the ability to shoot.

We are using a scoring application that is downloaded on a smart phone or tablet and specialized targets that can be ordered on Amazon.

So really the questions you have to ask yourself is do I have access to 100 yard range, a device capable of running the “ELEY X - Shot” app and the willingness to purchase 50 targets for approximately $30 on Amazon.

If the answer to all that is an overwhelming yes, then I will help you as best I can to get started with BillM’s 50 yard qualifier.

(the reason I am asking for individuals to complete his first is because that competition is the trial run so that cutting your teeth there should make this competition easier for the referee, aka me lol)

You know i was just thinking about scoring this. If you shoot what would be an 8 or 7 on a 100 yd target the app will score it as a double hit on the target. Perhaps it would be better to shoot like the 5x5 that gives room to have a 8 or 7 hit without really messing up scoreing?

I’m not tracking, everything is the same as the 50y just move it out to 100y.

The entire scoring ring is only the size of the 9 ring if you shoot what would be an 8 on a 100 yd target your into the next target box. Do you realize how hard it is to stay inside the 9 ring for 25 shots?

Honestly no, I don’t. (Meaning I don’t compete or follow any of it, not trying to come off as smug) I just looked at all the 5x5 cards that I did and measured the outer ring. Looks tougher and I will have to make a lot of sighters, but not impossible.

If you believe that we should move the distance closer, let’s all talk about it.

I would love to shoot 100 yds but to shoot the 50 yd target at 100 would be very difficult for the guy that mostly shoots 30. It would be difficult to score too as i said what would be a 7-8 on a 100 yd target is going to be out of the box for the bull your shooting at

You tell me. If you look at the target you showed all the shots i circled are in an another target so x shot is going to score them as in another target. Ill do 100 i just think scoring will be tough and we won’t get many to try

Cut me some slack, there’s no sighters available on the target. I had to take a shot and work with it.

The Taipan. You know how that gun is, 50y and less is a waste of its capability for paper anyway.
