Mine came in the other day from AOA. Upon grabbing it first, what a big difference over the full size .30 I had years ago with a laminate stock. This is a much more slender gun and weight and length is great.

The good: the gun is built really well. The cocking is very smooth and not hard to do. Over the Chrono it is very consistent. Shooting at 910fps with the 20.83gr JSB Lights. Over like 30 shots had maybe a 10fps spread. Trigger is phenomenal but a tad on the light side. I havent "slipped" on a trigger in a long time but this one is easy to do. The buttstock is really nice and comfortable to get behind. I changed the grip to an Ergo zero degree and just fits me well.

I will say i was a little disappointed to see a standard 12 groove LW barrel. I was under the impression it was going to be a polygonal barrel but I was wrong. I emailed Martin asking about it and he said the 12 groove tend to do better than polygonal barrel when it comes to 21gr and lower pellets. If i want to shoot the 25gr then the polygonal is a better fit. He can make a barrel up for any length i want to go that route. But im glad I asked as I plan on shooting something in the 20-22gr range. So ill stick with the 12 groove.

Accuracy seems promising but weather has been very windy so hard to tell. But vertically, groups have looked good with the 18gr JTS, 20.83gr Monster Lights and 21.9gr AEAs. I also need to get the hang of the trigger lol crazy im saying that as it makes my Taipans feel heavy in comparison.

I tried my Pugio on it and it hit the bottle so that didnt work. I tested it noise wise and it was quite loud. I tried my Heartland Airguns Whisper Pro and that did quiet a bit more but still kinda loud. This one might take a bigger LDC lol. Will need to research that.

Just some quick thoughts. Very happy with it and excited to put it through its paces. Will be updating this more in the future!20260411_143722.webp

So finally after a week of having it I had some time tonight where the wind was pretty calm. Shot about 52yds. 3 5 shot groups, started top to bottom. AEA 21.9gr, JTS 18gr then 20.8gr ML. The AEA i always get some good looking groups with 4 pellets then a "flyer". With all guns ive tried which is i think 4 or 5 now? Kind frustrating as others seem to have good luck with them but I just havent. The JTS 18gr were alittle hot but did pretty well. Id expect a slower speed would tighten them up. The ML did pretty good. First 2 shots were a little low, assuming getting barrel seasoned to the softer lead, then pretty good. Middle group is slipped on the trigger before I was ready hence the one to the right alittle. Breathe on the trigger and it goes off. Then shot a full mag with them after and that was a good group.

And dumb me didnt even think about it but I left the FX chronograph on my moderator the whole time which I know doesnt help with harmonics. I never shoot with it but just wanted to see speeds. It was dark so I guess I didnt really notice it in front while I was shooting. Oh well another day.20260417_204812.webp20260417_204823.webp

I had the same problem with the AEA as you, every group would have a flier. Those RAW Mini's are nice, it is nice to see well made domestic air rifles, there are too few.
Good to know im not the only one. Its frustrating but glad I only have a few tins of them in case they werent good. I think id have to sort them as the "flyers" definitely had a different fps than the others. Avg about 888fps and the others would drop to 865fps. Maybe a larger head size? Who knows.

But yeah im really happy with it. I try to support the American brands as much as I can. Ill be real interested running this thing along size my Skout Semi.

Dillon, try Pledge or Beeswax spray polish on the AEAs. It really helped eliminate fliers in my full size HM1000X. Clean the pipe really really really well followed by a final cleaning with alcohol or Naphtha then follow that with a good waxing using Trewax. Let that dry for a few hours or overnight. Then shoot the waxed AEAs and let me know your results.

Yeah i think I will try that. I noticed some spiraling last night and flashed a light down the barrel and the choke was full of lead. Cleaned it good but I have read about the Trewax stuff and thought about trying it.

I think i might have realized an issue with my gun. I keep getting some groups that are good then a flyer with spiraling. Clean barrel or not. Different moderators. I checked the 1/2-20 adapter and it has a .243 exit hole. That gives it .013 gap around the pellet if its 100% perfectly centered on the bore and being a slip fit part i cant see that being the case. Seems really tight?? Im getting little pieces of lead hitting the end of my end cap on my Falx. Its a .39" exit hole. No way im actually clipping it but I think it might be clipping the 1/2-20 adapter causing little pieces of lead??? Haven't ever noticed marks like that on any gun and its on multiple mods ive tried. Pushing pellets through the barrel seem good but I did get a pellet stuck in between the barrel and adapter when pushing through.

You'll have your answer pretty quick if you single load by hand and shoot without the moderator. I just notice that some ammo, in some of my guns, will throw a flier sometimes. Other ammo, that the barrel likes, it never happens. Go figure. Welcome to the weird world of airgunning, lol.
