PCP AEA Terminator Max Gen. 2 (At your own risk...)

Hi everyone -
I'm posting this as an informational post, to be a bit cautious when purchasing from this site, and this particular gun. It sells as the "AEA Terminator MAX (EX-B&W S45) 2025.
With SO many different sites seeming to be the legit AEA shop, which I should have been more skeptical about now that I noticed the ....guns.shop suffix versus a .com (US sites), I ended up getting pretty burned.
What I was really looking for was the 9mm Semi-Auto Terminator with external adjustments for tuning as I'd seen a review on. But, I saw this saying "Terminator" and MAX in the same sentence, so I was thinking that this sucker is gonna be even more of a beast. So, $2400 in USD. I placed the order (Wolfiek group, who has their hands in a bunch of different names now)...And trusted the AEA name as well, so felt like I wouldn't have anything to worry about.
Once I ordered, I followed the tracking and, not realizing it was based in Spain, it took about a full week + to get released by customs first of all. So around 3 weeks for delivery. I get it, I can deal with that. Wasn't expecting Amazon. I was SO excited to shoot this thing too.
So it finally came, and first surprise was that a gun at this price point came without any kind of case...??? Just cardboard and styrofoam. I messaged them first on that, saying that it was disappointing for a gun this costly to not include any type of protection - considering my Karma SLS at $1400 and RTI P-3 at $1800 both came with nice hard shell cases. He offered to give me 10% off an already $150 case, so I passed on that.
It did seem pretty well made, cast magazines, nice click in, lever release out...Anodized air tanks front & rear, & pretty light all things considered. I gassed it up to max PSI, and took a shot. The pellet literally plopped on the ground about 20 feet in front of me. I read back through my emails, and they had sent me 3 videos to bypass what was causing it...Essentially a restrictor plug that shows the guy (their guy) tightening down a deck screw into the opening from the top of the pic rail down into the gun, a bit past the breach...screwdriving it in a few turns, then pulling out this plug. I was told it was in there due to EU restrictions on power, and this bypassed that once removed.
I did that, and it also came with what was basically a port that replaced the regulator and was recommended as the "Power Kit"... So I removed the reg and replaced with that. Even before that though, I noticed there were no external adjustment locations as it was on the terminator I'd seen reviewed...so I was quite annoyed by that part - it essentially was not capable of any tuning. No mention of adjustable hammer spring tension, etc.
I did go out to shoot after that and my LORD it was loud! Literally as loud as a firearm. I put in earplugs, so no issues - just a loud gun. Problem is, I absolutely could not get any grouping worth respect. I"m talking 3"-5" groups using a vise & only 25 yds. away. (I tried 40, same deal)...So after some emailing and hopes of troubleshooting that, I became VERY irritated with the promise of 1-2 day replies ending up 4-5-6 day delays in replies. I was sending emails like "did you get my last one??" because it was becoming very irritating. I finally just said I want to send this thing back. It doesn't shoot straight at all.
I was told to send it to a US address, just a guy "Monte" and he'd go over it and determine if it was able to be resold or not. Once I saw it had arrived, I asked over and over again for DAYS to make sure it was in safe hands. Finally I did, and was assured that "all would be okay, nothing to worry about".
Another 2 weeks went by before I heard anything about status, etc... - Keep in mind, I had shot about 75 pellets through it, and left no tool markings on anything. The offer I got - rather than a full refund, was "I can do 75% refund or 90% store credit, as this represents a total loss for us." After I'd followed every bit of what they told me to do from day 1, carefully. All of that last sentence took another week to get a reply about. I just took the hit, asked for the refund, as I swear I"m never doing business with them again.
I got my P3 through Tony at Talon airguns, who have been awesome to deal with btw, although RTI is associated with Wolfiek) - Beyond infuriated that I didn't get a full refund for a gun that couldn't even shoot straight, I just took the loss and am moving on. I could have bought a nice FX with that same amount of $, and is what I intend to do.
So far, the Karma SLS has been my #1 favorite, so well made & all kinds of extra thought put into it - pic rails on side, arca on the bottom, you name it. Great gun. And 100% amazing customer service. PJ returns any questions I have usually the same day. Strongly recommend Donny FL and Karma (through them), etc... -
I understand this is very long but is in hopes that no one else has to deal with this sh**y customer service and quality. I'm sure they make some decent ones, but this model was NOT it. Just sharing my experience, do what you want...Just may get the same treatment is all I'm saying...Thanks guys hope it helps someone possibly -be observant as to the URL you're visiting. Just the thought of 2400 bucks on an AEA I’m pretty sure briefly paused every bodily system in me required for life. Yikes. 😳
As I read the story that exact same though came to my mind. It's not even remotely worth that kinda money! I dont think AEA airguns can be imported into Canada....im mostly ok with that.
That would clock in at $3300cdn....so more than an Impact M4, Brk Ghost, etc....yeesh.

Yeah I took the 75% just because I was so frustrated waiting days for replies, etc... and put it towards an .30 cal. Impact M4 copper 700mm. I have a feeling I'll be much, much happier. I was initially going for a .35 since I had some ammo left from the Terminator, but after looking again at the prices and qty of ammo in .35, I realized I wouldn't be comfortable shooting for fun. Zeroing in, all that would cost a fortune. If I was on a farm going for hogs, then maybe. But to become a really good long-range shooter & learn more about calculations / windage, etc... I'd much rather buy ammo that doesn't turn my stomach when I put it in the cart LOL. I think I'll be really happy with it considering all of the fun little add-ons and upgrades offered for it, especially its reputation too. My .25 Karma SLS is also truly the best gun I've owned. Those guys did an amazing job including everything you'd want from an otherwise $2500 gun for $1800 or so. Their customer service is spot on too. One heck of a gun. Thanks for your feedback sir!

If you are super happy with the sls there is the EQ. Way less than any of them on the list.

I got the exactly same .357 cal version (2025) gun. I have the exact same power nerf thing and was extremely frustrated about the fact that there's no information about this anywhere! I did the "Power kit" thing but still nothing and I discovered your post! Do you still have those 3 videos from AEA support? It would help me immensely if you shared that info with me (I want to hear the loud bang too ;)

Thanks in advance sir.

These Karma rifles are awesome! Glad to have you here and welcome to the forum.

@mattboyer30 this is Paul from the Wolfiek Team.

We’re truly sorry to hear about your experience and understand your frustration. We did our best to resolve the issue and even offered a replacement, but let’s address your points one by one so readers have the full context.

The .shop Domain

Wolfiek is an official distributor of AEA and works closely with their team. Our .shop websites are completely legitimate and part of our official network of European stores. We use this domain format to organize our different brand shops clearly and to distinguish them from the manufacturers’ websites. Each site openly states that it is operated by Wolfiek Group.

Why no case was included

Many of our customers prefer to choose their own case. Including one by default would increase the overall price, and not everyone wants to pay extra for it. To give customers more flexibility, we offer cases separately so each person can select the option that best fits their needs.

Power restriction and Power Kit

Spanish and EU regulations limit how powerful an airgun can be when shipped. Because of these legal limits, we must send them in a restricted setup. We provide clear instructions and a Power Kit so customers can restore full performance after delivery (where local laws allow). This process usually works smoothly for all customers. However, we recognize that this should be explained more clearly before purchase, and we’re already improving how we communicate this.

We’re very sorry that your case turned out differently. It seems to have been an isolated issue. We also offered you a replacement, but you decided on a refund, which we fully respected.

It’s disappointing to see our shop described as “not legit.” We want to reassure everyone that Wolfiek stores are 100% official, authorized, and trusted partners of AEA and other premium brands.

Response times and customer support

You are right that our replies took longer than they should have. Behind the scenes, one support team member left and another went on parental leave at the same time. That’s not an excuse, but it did cause delays. We’ve since expanded our team and improved internal systems to make our response times faster and more consistent.

You reached us during a transition phase, and we take full responsibility for the frustration that caused. We value every customer and are committed to being transparent and responsive.

Moving forward

Our long record of positive reviews on Trustpilot reflects our dedication to good service and quality products. We take your feedback seriously and are already using it to strengthen how we communicate, support, and serve our customers. One example is to engage on forums like this one.

Once again, we apologize that your experience didn’t meet our usual standard. We appreciate your honesty, it helps us do better. We remain committed to making sure every Wolfiek customer feels confident, supported, and valued.

Paul from the Wolfiek Team
