Got a brand new RAW LRT .22 cal . After initial testing with 33.4 grns @ 922 fps @ 60 yards my best 20 shot group including flyers @ 3 7/8 with the majority being 1 3/4 inch. The 28 grns @ 970 fps 20 shot group @ 2 1/2. The majority being at 1 3/4 inches. The 25 grns right about the same as the 28s. Good enough for hunting but not definitely very satisfing paper puncher. Usually a great target paper puncher will give you a nuch more consistant anticipation of shot impact placement. It is a shame the Raw barrel is so nicely machined. They need to ditch the polygon system

Polygon barrels are typically better with slugs. Could it be your form? I know personally i find id harder to shoot slugs extremely precisely than pellets

Raw states the LRT was designed to shoot the 25.39 pellets I sent this rifle to a well renowned Air rifle specialist. He confirmed the barrel was horrible A far cry from being a LRT

Sorry for some reason i got the impression you were shooting slugs. Poly is good on pellets too. I would suggest you push a pellet through the barrel feeling for rough or very tight spots you could then polish them with jb bore bright as this might help accuracy.

I removed the barrel & pushed the pellet right through with little to no effort
You have to re-read my orginal post. Thank You I spoke to RAW today they said they wanted me to send the barrel , so they would say , OH there is nothing wrong with it. In my opinion I set this rifle to someone who knows this rifle inside & out. One of the Best in the Business. A true airgun smith

If a pellet went through with little to no resistance the bore is on the large size there should be some resistance and a bit more when you hit the choke about an inch before exiting the barrel

I wouldn’t count on them doing that. I’m sure RAW knows that some barrels are bad, and wouldn’t want a bad one floating around. I’d send it to them. Note the serial number, so that you know what you’re getting back. Those groups are unacceptable, my $270 Alpha can do better. I complained about a $600 barrel on here and I was given a replacement. I haven’t owned a RAW, but they have a heck of a reputation to protect.

I am glad you saw this post , it is so true, I might still send Rapidair works just the barrel. It has been confirmed a bad barrel & you know my wording is spot on TRUTH BE TOLD I have to be careful of my posts , but they are true. I deleted a post on this forum so I don't get kicked off. I respect the rules

I try to respect Mr. Archers forum as well. When I had my own forums for my business, members didn’t always respect the rules and I remember that. I’ve said a few things that I thought would maybe result in at least a soft reprimand, but so far I’ve found HAM to be a refreshing change from most forums or groups. But, back to the topic: please keep us informed on how it goes.

When Martin owned the company, he tested all the barrels shipped to him from LW. They all didn't meet his standards. I wonder if Air Force does the same.
RAW LRT is completed ! My massaged RAW @ 70 yards 10 shot group , 18 .13 jsb & 910 a .357 Diablo pellett fits inside the clustersd hole. . Center to center is .262 & outside to outside is .462 .' . Now this is truly a LRT RAW. Most RAWS 3/4" groups are acceptable with factory barrel, that is not acceptable for me my opinion. It's now outfitted with a BULL Barrel So the rifle went from shootig 1 inch & 3/4 to .462. I can honestly say I am truly HAPPY The gentlemen who repaired the RAW completed the fabrication & BULL BARREL. yesterday. He himself was pleased with the turn out of the RAW. He is truly 1 of 1 . He is a master @ what he does. As you can tell my reading my posts on this forum I love my BULL BARRELS! I will end by saying TRUTH BE TOLD Mubhaut had the same problem it as well
