Last weekend I looked through a window at my backyard and what I saw was probably the most squirrels I’ve seen in quite some time, 15-20 at least. So I brought out the green goblin and eliminated the closest one to me about 15 yards away.
Approximately 9 or so immediately went up the nearest tree at once, they had no adjacent trees to retreat to and began fighting with each other at the end of the branches. Then they would begin a descent down the trunk mostly all at once.
I had to make a shot into the tree to give them pause and attempt another shot. This mostly resulted in them climbing up and back out to the edge of the branches and began to fight again.
This situation played out until I ran out of ammo in the mag.
All three in this particular case are vital shots due to the dynamic situation a fast acquisition was necessary.
Definitely one of those times where a second or larger magazine and semi auto would’ve been helpful. The Contour has only a six round mag.
It has become my favorite Airgun as it so nimble and precise.
I managed to get seven in total over four days.
