Good morning everyone as you can see in my photos I just bought the rebuild kit and when I pump the gun the air won’t hold so can someone help me out please or is this $40 dollars down the drain thanks everyone

I have rebuilt a number of these guns with no issues but everthing has to be clean and make sure theres no damage.

you caught look for some YouTube videos that go over the process but theres not much to it.

you state "I just bought the rebuild kit" have you installed it or just bought it?
so topics that might help getting some help.
is it not pumping up or does it pump and leak off where is it leaking from, if the pump is not latched will it push it out?

Yes, we've sold many hundreds of these rebuild kits over 10+ years years. No problems that I have ever heard of. I'm not a 397 expert myself so maybe others can help.

As @pan60 says, some additional information on what is leaking, when and where would be useful.

Also, I'm not familiar with the "397P.A." model. Does anyone have information about what the "P.A." means and how old it is?

Welcome to the HAM forum! Sorry i can't help with a direct solution to your problem. If no one chimes in on here you can get ahold of Nibs at Walnut and Steel. I think he's a member here too so search members and get ahold of him or contact thru his youtube channel and email him at the link provided there. Happy shooting!

After changing everything it got worse

I can’t think of the silver cylinder off hand but I think I need a new one
