Others New drs tactical mk2

Id just try the plenum. The 800 mm barrel just seems excessive and the plenum would be safer than making the 800 mm air tube
Not really. I’m making the air tube out of a higher grade aluminum than FX does. Also l’m a machinist as my day job. I don’t do Airgun stuff in the shop I work at because there’s never a machine open, ever… But basically the tolerances required for 250Bar are nothing special.

Plus right now it seems easier to make parts at home than it does to order them 😂😂… who even has an SHP plenum in stock right now?

Also I need a barrel sooner rather than later because apparently my gun shipped with the 1:40 twist rate barrel liner. I wanna be pissed about it but the gun has shot slugs so well I can’t complain yet. I haven’t really tried any ELR yet so we shall see.

Mostly I’m torn because I don’t actually need a very high end .22LR right now 😂. Because when you push these .30’s up above 130fpe it’s basically a firearm in how freaking hard they hit. I’m really enjoying shooting this gun in the 90-100fpe level. But coyote season is right around the corner and I need to make sure I’m Bristol Fashion sooner rather than later.

Anyways, adding the Huma transfer port let me back the hammer spring out and I’ve got the gun still hovering around 100fpe but getting a few more shots per fill.

Sadly I’m out of 50gr Franco’s so I’m shooting 55gr Franco’s at 905fps. However this tune is also shooting the Hex slugs at 990fps so that’s what I was running this morning.

117y on this one

The insta footage looks better. YouTube likes to stretch videos for some reason.

You don’t really have to chase extreme velocity to enjoy extreme accuracy do you?

Absolutely not. I’ve never equated high velocity with accuracy. The math also shows that at least in terms of wind deflection 850fps is probably the golden zone for subsonic projectiles.

I shoot them fast for power down range/expansion. Oh and cuz I love the sound they make when they hit…. But when the slug has large Mouth Bass in its family tree (just like my ex mother-in-law 😂) then the speeds aren’t as important. As long as it has enough juice to count when it does land… BC says this is still doing 50fpe at 200y and when it’s this accurate I feel like I can make that count.

@Cantona256 where you at with your drs haven’t heard from you for a bit. Get any yotes yet?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 it’s funny you should ask.

I actually moved houses (same area) a couple weeks ago and just have been busy AF… landowner called me frantically Tuesday night and offered $150 a coyote… I saw 5 yesterday morning before work and came back and shot 2 last night.

I’ll probably switch to a heavier slug than the Hex for the next few just because tracking them at night is a beast. But with that said you can hear how hard the hex hits them.

I’m still waiting till the 30s to start arriving with the extra tank setup before I order one. And maybe at the end of the year. The new pandora 7000psi from Europe regulated at 4500 is looking pretty good right now. They are stating 450 ft lbs max from it so we will see 30-357. Looks like the panda
Pandora’s box means a prolific source of troubles—something that seems harmless or ordinary but can cause many unforeseen problems

How do you like your DNT optic. Clarity I have a 635r @ dealer going on the Panthera .22 700 with Bull Barrel, A long with a Sightron SvIII 5x40x56. They both been their collecting dust for my hurry up & wait process. For the close time period of 7 months

I absolutely love my DNT! This is the second Zulus I’ve had and it would be incredibly hard to convince me to go back to anything else. The magnification level isn’t amazing for small critters past about 200-250y (in the day time) but for coyote sized and bigger it’s amazing. The LRF is incredibly convenient and if you take the time to dial in the ballistic calculator it works amazing. I shot that first coyote at around 50 (in the video) and I a second one a few minutes later at 154y. All it took was pushing the LFR button and it was ready to go. For an active hunting situation at night that’s invaluable.

That was perfect, the adreline must of been pumping, coyote hunting is tough, for they are always on the move. That optic clearly gets the job done Thank you for vid & fast response
