I don’t think they come with a factory “tune” because I have the exact same model and yours came hotter than mine. My reg was set to 110/115 Bar from the factory. But actually the numbers are almost the exact same… I got 36-38 shots per fill with the 43.7gr Hex slugs at 910fps for 80fpe.

Also my trigger is probably just as light as yours. I absolutely love it.

Oh and the stock hammer spring weight is too light to open the valve above 120-125Bar… for shooting pellets it would be better to lower the reg to like 110 bar. For the hex slugs at 910fps I had the hammer spring almost all the way in to get that speed. However, the shot count was still the 36-38 shots I mentioned.

Also you said you wanted to know what we think… did you read the thread before you posted. Between @Solo1 and I we have at least two threads with fairly comprehensive information on what we think and what we’ve done with this gun.

You nailed . it Glad to see Interest in this platform. This looks like the road to go . As far as speed with pellets is almost standard . In my personal tuning I start @ 845 875 890 (910 is always great) 934 & I high of 950 FPS. I purchased 1 in 700 mm with Woodstock in .22 with plans for using the Woodstock for.20, the .22 in ST chassis (grey) to shoot light weight BT slugs. I read Solo1& Cantona256 findings that I personally think are so true. I am glad you took time to review the DRS in .30 cal. To Aigun Avisor Ithank you for your findings. I might just pull the trigger for .30 cal. I already have a 80 FT/lbs Panthera on the way, all in .22 all decked.out . If were to get .30 I personally would need more FT/lbs of energy. Don't get me wrong what you yourself did with the stock platform in .30 is nothing to turn your nose up to . Thank you to all. When I receive the rifles that I am patiently waiting for , Believe me when I tell you I will be posting . till my fingers fall off. LOL I would rather have more tuning discussions of what works & what doesn't For instance hammer weights, springs regs & psi. hard core tuning for all us to learn

! thing I will say , when I purchased the ALKIN Copressor I watched your vid, for I was nervous of filling my 98 cabon fiber tank from empty. LOL Thank you. I always air on the side of caution on stuff like that. Thank you again.

Oh it easily does 110-115fpe. I was shooting 55gr slugs at 955-960 for a bit but I didn’t need that much power at the time. I dropped down to about 84fpe for awhile and I’m at 90fpe currently. But since coyote season is gonna heat up soon I’ll gonna push it to about 120fpe once I get the bigger plenum in.

With the 63cc plenum and slug power kit Fx says it will do 127fpe which 1fpe more than what they advertise for the impact m4… it’s just $1000 cheaper and doesn’t need $500 worth of upgrades to avoid the wandering POI issues 😂😂😂

Seriously I believe Fx low key broke their own pricing model with this gun. It’s $1000 cheaper than the “flagship” model and frankly it’s a lot more functional. I’ve taken it camping multiple times now. Now that the temps have dropped below 90° daily it just rides in the back seat of my car. It shoots great off-hand, tripod, car window and the hand guard means you can shoot it off tree branches and other improvised rests.

I’m a guy who mods guns first and foremost haha (check out my post history on my Karma here and AGN). I have avoided “luxury” guns because I don’t think that the cost is worth what you get on a lot of them (looking at you DAYSTATE 🤮)…I like air-over-the barrel though so I waited for a .30 cal DRS and I have to say it’s a LOT of gun. I have a few complaints like anyone else would (the magazines are trash) but my biggest might be that I keep having to buy ammo since I can’t put the damn thing down 😂😂

Also for the .30 cal I’ve tested the stock and Huma hammer spring, stock and 2 huma HS weights and slugs from 43.7gr to 63gr all with the stock 53cc plenum…. And I’ve had the reg pretty much everywhere between 110-170Bar… lmk what you’re trying to shoot and I can point you in the right direction for settings.

First off I had to compose myself, after I read your 2 previous post ( spot on ) . What I have to ask yourself , In order to crank out the 40 grains out of the Panthera in .22 700 mm would you install the 26g or the13g steel to spit out the 40 grain @ 980 +. If I end up destroying the internals , so be it It will be under Warranty LOL The dealer said it would be likely be the 26g. Others say it will bend pins & valve. FX supposedly corrected this from gen 1 to gen 2 . I am pretty sure I will lose some or all tuning capabilities. All this hype. FX Distributes the 26g hammer weights. It's on them. If this rifles fails hold on because , I will go for a 100% refund if that is possible. , & post it. why hide the truth, from everyone, for their 40 grain slug shooter that they rave about with the 40 gr Ace slug 2 year ago @ RMAC the new & greatest miracle slug that does wonders out of the Panthera. Their is no Disclosure on FX website that says , DO NOT INTALL the TUNGSTEN hammer weight in the PANTHERA or what weight for that matter,

Where did you find info on the benchmark?
Absolutely no way I’m telling you, until Elaine convinces me that I can’t have one. 😂🤣😂🤣😂 I know you will buy the only one available right now. 😁😉 I don’t know what I want next. I was seriously considering the Mora, but was talked out of it at PAC. The RAW is tempting, but I’m not convinced of the looks.

With Raw it is the Barrel lottery, you know this from my Dilemia. After I got a new barrel installed from AZ it it what I call a true performer

I’m gonna go with option C! 😂😂😂

I was taking a gander at Huma last night and they have a new heavy Steel weight that they state will be REPLACING the Tungsten hammer… it didn’t list a specific weight but I’m guessing it’s probably very close to the Tungsten weight.

As for damaging internals I’d guess those people put in the heavy weight BEFORE adjusting the reg. Which is funny to me because they understand the physics of mass to open the valve but aren’t taking into account that you have to have enough psi to counter the increased mass…if you put in a hammer spring weight without upping the regulator your gonna smash that hammer spring into everything that matters. With the heavy brass weight I found that it overpowers the valve under 145-150Bar.

If it was me I would set the reg to 155-16Bar and the hammer spring all the way back then slowly work it in.

With the tungsten I’m more concerned about the fine tungsten dust that will come off with each impact. I don’t think the weight is an issue as long as you’re not treating the valve stem like a rented mule that owes you money 😂😂.

Thank you for replying back. Like you said heavy hammer needs HIGH PSI. I know their will be wear, but that just physics. For every action their is an re- action. Was it the Stailess Steel TUNGSTEN =HIGH POWER As far as dust I will get some PLEDGE LOL

Im using a 12 gram steel hammer from fx shooting 40 gr air marksman to 930 fos with 150 bar. Where in the world do you need a 26 gram hammer?

I am going for 980 FPS & up with the 40 grain. Before that rifle leaked that was not repairableit was shooting a 40 grain @ 973 fps. I am going for BROKE!!!! LOL It's not a done deal yet, 12 is still a option. Trust me when I tell you I will to see what works. Thank you as always. ( .22 Panthera 700) H.P LOL

My bad, I got out of hand . I will move over to Panthera thread. in any case what Barrel length is on your Drs is 500 mm? Iam thinking I will do the same hammer weight as yourself in the 700 .22 Drs in ST chasis. Iam sure one could still put the tungsten in the Drs, I will have to research this? I was told the 34.6 gr Zan Hyper line (green coating) @ 1000 fps & 23 grain are great out of the Drs 34.6 gr @ 1000 fps = 76 ft/lbs lower reg psi ? Higher shot count ? Also I think FX did away with the smaller plenums. They will now come with the larger plenums

I have 2 a 700 22 and a mki 500 22. I shoot mostly pellets (21.9 aea) from the 500 and slugs from the 700. Waiting to get a 700 pellet liner to see how well the 25 and 34 gr pellets shoot from it. I really like the 500 for squirrels and 50-75yd bench
