Not really. I’m making the air tube out of a higher grade aluminum than FX does. Also l’m a machinist as my day job. I don’t do Airgun stuff in the shop I work at because there’s never a machine open, ever… But basically the tolerances required for 250Bar are nothing special.
Plus right now it seems easier to make parts at home than it does to order them
… who even has an SHP plenum in stock right now? Also I need a barrel sooner rather than later because apparently my gun shipped with the 1:40 twist rate barrel liner. I wanna be pissed about it but the gun has shot slugs so well I can’t complain yet. I haven’t really tried any ELR yet so we shall see.
Mostly I’m torn because I don’t actually need a very high end .22LR right now
. Because when you push these .30’s up above 130fpe it’s basically a firearm in how freaking hard they hit. I’m really enjoying shooting this gun in the 90-100fpe level. But coyote season is right around the corner and I need to make sure I’m Bristol Fashion sooner rather than later. Anyways, adding the Huma transfer port let me back the hammer spring out and I’ve got the gun still hovering around 100fpe but getting a few more shots per fill.
Sadly I’m out of 50gr Franco’s so I’m shooting 55gr Franco’s at 905fps. However this tune is also shooting the Hex slugs at 990fps so that’s what I was running this morning.
