New Crosman Vapor Multi-Pump To Be Launched At SHOT Show

It looks as if there will be a new multi-pump air rifle being launched at the 2025 SHOT Show tomorrow. Named the Crosman Vapor, it’s a 10-pump model that’s capable of over 1,100 FPS in .177 caliber.

I’m sure this will cause a lot of interest among HAM readers!

No more details yet, nor a photograph. Ditto with pricing. Also I do not know if the Vapor will be a replacement for the Crosman 362, or an addition to the range. However you can read the official Press Release here. That’s all I have…

As you can see, the Crosman, Benjamin, Daisy and Gamo brands are all now part of the “Iconic Outdoor Group”. I’m guessing that this will also include BSA.

Again, I have no more information about the Iconic Outdoor Group, but it sounds like another version of the “Velocity Outdoor” concept that he previous owners of Crosman implemented.

Making a complete guess of what the new organization’s web address could be, here’s what the url iconicoutdoorgroup.com looks like today. So someone owns it!

I’m sure we’ll discover more about the Crosman Vapor and the Iconic Outdoor Group in the very near future…

I have heard it both ways. Some bad and some good. I hope it’s been corrected so they are all good now.

I have heard of maybe 2 or 3 off top of my head that had a bad barrel. Now, saying that, there is bad, then there is BAD.. where polishing and muzzle crown fixing won't help. With that in mind, guess I should walk that comment of mine back a touch. But, minor fixes does not a bad barrel make. My 362 was turbo charged right outta the box as well, before I even shot it, so, that couldda kinda sorta had a major influence on mine.

I consider BAD being a la BSA barrel bad, screws down through the bore. That's bad. No coming back from that.

I love the Daisy style pump arm. I always feel my daisy 880 lever gives more leverage than my crosman pump does.

Nope. After seeing all the Gamo Urban's with jacked up BSA barrels, I put the brakes on that purchase just in time. Plenty of bsa methed up screwed through barrel pics out there too. Googly it. Never wouldda thought as much from BSA.

You a member of GTA page? They in there. Amongst other BSA barrel issues. Not sayin they the only ones by any means, but the pics and known problems are out there. I don't keep up with links, as I dont care enough to. But, BSA are the only factory new barrels I have seen drilled through and installed on new rifles. I started out my PCP affair with Gamo rifles though, so I watched every video, every picture, and every pro and con write up I could find on their PCPs.

As for how they could do it, that is one great question. I couldn't begin to answer that one. Took one heck of a press, tough sharp screw, or something.

I searched GTA, couldn't find anything. I'm not doubting you, but all things considered it seems improbable that a machine screw could be driven into a barrel and what machining operation would be responsible for it and how it could have escaped even the most basic quality control inspection.

I will agree that I have seen images/comments on it before. It may actually be on HAM that I saw it. I will see if I can find for you.

I hadn't even heard the "under $200" part. Only part I had seen with that was the AV break barrel announcement.

Wow I didn’t catch that. $79 to $200 is a big jump. Funny at $79 I would think cheap disposable big box pump. At $200 I would think better quality. Perception is a lot lol

Doc I. Pretty sure that's what I read in the article on the Daisy version. Under 200.00. No set price though. How "under"? That's a question. But the 79.00 is what Gamo is sayin with they name version.

Well it was a drilled thru hole not a machine screw, big difference. Most likely from a jig setup with the wrong depth for the drill. I was a machinist for many years. I believe to condemn all BSA barrels based on this incident, which is decidedly not the norm, would be unwise. But a real stroke of bad luck for that member.

My Gamo Urban has a BSA barrel and I believe it's made in England at the BSA factory, not sure. It's a rewarding PCP to shoot and wasn't very expensive. It doesn’t pay tribute to the claim that all BSA barrels are bad though.

Welcome for the link, and I'm not condoning or condemning. I have no experience with their barrels to judge. I know lots of guys who love their bsa rifles.

Interesting indeed. Hmm Gamo owns them now. Gamo is coming out with an 1100 fps pump gun with the same name. Same gun different body?

Thank You for that. Makes sense. I wish they would have called it a Daisy since the pump arm resembles the 880. I do wish it was in .22.
