A new pair of 34-mm tube Hawke Vantage HD 34 riflescopes were launched at the 2026 SHOT Show. And they’re already online for you to order at Pyramyd!
The two models both have wide, 5 X, zoom ranges. There’s a large objective 5-25 x 56 and a more compact 3-15 x 44 model. Both are FFP (First Focal Plane) scopes and both have a choice of MOA and MIL reticle subtensions.
The reticle is Hawke’s FFP Pro II reticle. The diagram below shows the MIL version. The MOA reticle is similar. Both are of the same”Christmas Tree” type and have red and green illumination with a stepped brightness control
Hawke says that these reticles were developed specifically for first focal plane optical systems. The bright center cross gives a sharp aim point for quick reference and target acquisition.
Each cross has a see-through gap, allowing an unobstructed view of the target. The thick outer posts are hollowed to ensure they can be seen at all magnifications, without blocking out too much of the view.
The FFP MOA reticle has aim points every 2 MOA for holdover and windage, combined with 1/4 MOA turrets make for easy point of aim adjustment. Every 4 clicks on the turret will measure exactly 1 MOA spacing on the reticle. Because of FFP this is true on all magnifications.
The Mil version has half Mil spaced markings extending out to 10 Mil of holdover, making the FFP Mil Pro is a versatile reticle.
All reticle measurements are Mil spaced and offer 1 Mil, 0.5 Mil and 0.25 Mil brackets for range-finding. Every second Mil spacing on the lower section is numbered to ensure quick and easy acquisition of target and ease of reference.
Both scopes have airgun-friendly minimum parallax settings of 10 Yards, controlled from the left turret.
And then there’s that massive, 34 mm diameter tube! This is combined with Hawke’s H2 optical system that includes 11-layer multi-coating for brightness and contrast.
These new Hawke Vantage HD 34 riflescopes incorporate exposed turrets, with both the elevation and windage turrets having resettable zeros. The elevation turret features a zero stop to help quickly return to zero when dialing, and the windage turret is a locking turret to help secure the settings against accidental adjustment.
The pricing is attractive at $579.99 for the 3-15 x 44 version and $599.99 for the 5-25 x 56 scope.
