New Anti-Venom Airgun Silencers

New Anti-Venom Airgun Silencers

Western Airguns has introduced a new range of Anti-Venom airgun silencers. In fact, there’s four models, with a range of lengths and tube diameters.

But why the name “Anti-Venom”?

To answer that burning question, I telephoned Airguns of Arizona and talked to Lauren Parsons. After all, a multi-international-competition-winning lady airgun shooter should know these things! And, of course, she did…

New Anti-Venom Airgun Silencers

It’s all completely logical, Lauren explained to me. Western Airguns has a range of airguns and they all carry names of fierce desert critters with a nasty – venomous – bite. You know, Rattler, Sidewinder, Mordax and so on.

Western Airguns Anti-Venom airgun silencers are designed to suppress the bark of these powerful PCP airguns. And others too.

Hence the name and the logo. It’s logical when you know!

Having found out that information, I asked Lauren for her opinion of these new silencers.

“Steve'” she said. “I’ve done a lot of back-to-back testing of these silencers with other, industry-leading models and these Anti-Venom silencers are really impressive. They are definitely the quietest moderators I have tried. So you can tell HAM readers that they are definitely backyard-friendly.”

Well that sounds like a great recommendation!

Western Airguns says that Anti-Venom Silencers deliver uncompromising performance in a lightweight, rugged design. Precision-engineered internal cores are housed within ultra-strong carbon fiber cylinders, providing exceptional strength, maximum suppression and minimal weight, they say.

Of course, all these silencers are designed and intended for use on AIRGUNS ONLY and are not suitable for firearms!

So let’s take a look at the range…

Love the names, clever! You can never have enough quiet. Welcome to the show!

Here is a spot in the airgunning world that I would really like to see some electronics introduced. I wouldn't even care if they were heavy. Active noise cancelling has been used in automotive exhaust mufflers over thirty years ago, and in car cabins , like the Lotus way back. I wonder if anybody has tried?

no reason why it would be doable it would have to be tuned but that could be managed with a phone app.
