Break Barrel My HW30s arrived today

the ladies have arrived. The gray laminate is .177, and the walnut is .20 for the curious.

Yes, it is. Difficult to get a good picture of it. Light was fading last night. The indoor pics all look way dark. Lots of figure.

Yes, nice walnut there for sure. The laminate one is sharp too. I recently bought a Savage .22 LR with a green laminate stock. It took a while for that one to grow on me, now I call it the zombie hunter.

Was the .20 caliber in stock or did you have to special order it?

They had it in stock. I'm sure that most choose the other calibers, but since I wanted to put good wood on it I thought a .20 would be fitting. My HW97KT is in .20 as well.

yea its a Diana but its no better then the old daisy winchester I had before it.
I am staying with my old old pumpers a PCPs
but I love seeing what everybody has and the performance they get : )

After sight in today I had a moment to shoot them a bit. No groups, just bang some steel. Reminded me of how much fun airguns can be.

No, not really. They are both very trim rifles. I think that the laminate is shaped thinner, and that negates the weight difference. Weihrauch did a wonderful job on that one.

I ran some through the HW30S, and determined that it's not picky. I do like how round the group was for the JSB exact 8.44 is though. 5 shot groups.

Using my Beeman R7, my vote for best pellet is the JSB 7.87.

I even tried some QYS pellets, and it did ok with those as well. I'm liking this rifle a lot.
