Break Barrel Install a Tune kit, lose your warranty?

I've owned at least 5 HW50"S and 7 HW95's. None of the 50's shot smooth out of the box. The only HW95's that were fairly smooth were back when you would get a .177cal that was close to 12 foot pounds around 20 years ago. (Beeman R-9's) Granted they are not bad in comparison to RWS Diana's or Gamo's, but once you have had tuned springers it's hard to go back. The only gas rams that I liked were Theoben's. I don't shoot springers near as much as I once did. I shoot pcp's way more these days, but I still enjoy shooting springers.

Yes. It does benefit from a tune but not as much as higher powered springers. Some think its not worth it.

Well I wanted an R9/HW95. But now you got me wondering about a R7/HW30. How for out can you accurately hit a coke can? Hmm. .

From what I understand 50-60 yrds should be fine, at 100 yrds its more like lobbing pellets

I would be very impressed with a 50-60 yard can killer. With the lower power, I would think the faster 177 would be better than 22 cal due to drop.

My HW97K in .22 cal is quite accurate out to our 85 yard silhouettes while my TX200 is nearly perfect out to 50 yds. I shoot paper targets and steel silhouettes, I don't know the power needed for accurate hunting. Orv.

If you want to tune it, tune it. Weihrauchs are rock solid and I doubt you’d ever use the warranty anyway.

Agreed, i was considering a HW30 in 0.20 cal because i felt 0.22 cal would be too much but, the lack of pellet selection and increased weight over 0.177 pellets has me reevaluating.

Interesting thought. I'll find out soon enough when my HW30N in .20 gets delivered.
