Field Target Going to a local FT match

Wow it’s been forever since I’ve shot HFT. This morning im heading to my local club to shoot some HFT and to renew my membership for this year because I can use the range when the main range is open. Beats the spot I go to all the time to make videos and shoot.

I was surprised when I heard people drive hundreds of miles to matches . I drive 25 minutes and I complain lol

30/48 score today on paper but 48/48 fun factor. it was windy and a tree decided to fall across two lanes.

My monthly matches are 1-45 to 2 hr drive but i love it!!

Similar here. Closest is just over 2 hrs, furthest is 4+.
Worth it.

The closest field to me that has anything to do with field target is 3 hours away down in Minneapolis and I HATE that city! There is nobody in my area that shoots anything Field Target. So I have my gun trying to get more people into the shooting.

Go out and have fun shooting! If anything you are going to have fun and learn a TON from the guys there.

Yeah it’s a ton of fun I had never shot in the wind. It’s the slowest race. Nice Rifle by the way!!

Yeah it is fun, heck the last time I shot my son was I think 4 or so??? and he is turning 12 in a few weeks. I miss the rifle I sold and kick myself for getting rid of it.

Thanks man, was a fun gun to build and customize. Now I just need to shoot it more and really get her dialed in.

Something that I realized too was I should’ve brought the darn trigger sticks instead I took my Bog brand shooting sticks which are nice for hunting but not so convenient for HFT
