I can’t fill my Ghost HP .25. I’m not sure if maybe my Ghost contributed to my cheapo compressor dying or not. When my compressor died I was filling my Ghost. I fill my Ghost with the little compressor in 2 or 3 stages allowing the compressor to cool to room temp in between stages. The Ghost was bought used two months ago from AOA. It’s had two issues from day one: the side lever constantly comes loose at the top of the chassis - I figure eventually I’ll blue loctite it. The second issue is that none of the extended quick connects firmly attach to the Foster fill connector, they have a lot of wiggle. On the last attempt to fill the Ghost (3rd stage) it would not fill, it was stuck at 220 bar. The compressor bogged down trying. I have been charging it to 20 bar with no issues. while I was waiting for the new compressor, I shot the Ghost down to 160 bar. The Ghost will not pressurize the line, so I’m assuming a leak. I have 3 whips and two extended QC and they all have the same result with the Ghost, no line pressure. I looked at the Foster fill port on the Ghost and there is an O-ring on the fill port. At first I thought it might have come out of one of the QC connectors, but they all work with my other guns and don’t seem to be missing an o-ring. So my next thought was: is it there to put pressure on on a loose F connector? I’ve never seen an o-ring on an F connector. It seems like it can’t get a good enough seal to activate the one-way valve in the fill port.
So, I decided to degas the Ghost and look at the fill port. I removed the bottle and shot it down. Then of course it wouldn’t cock. I’m aware that means the hammer is stuck. Before I disassemble the backend, is there anything else that I should be looking at. I appreciate any help/insight that anyone has to offer. I have seen Foster connectors that had worn out before, but usually on high use connections. Sorry, I know it’s a bit of a rambling post.
