FX Redback PCP Arrow Shooter Coming Soon

The FX Redback PCP arrow shooter was first announced at the 2024 IWA OutdoorClassics Show in Germany. Our heading photo above shows Mathias Vangilbergen showing the product at that time.

Now the Redback is close to availability. Pyramyd has added it to it’s website and you can request updates via the company’s product page.

The Redback PCP arrow shooter looks something like a combination between an FX Impact and a Gatling gun! It holds up to eight .357 caliber arrows in the barrel drum.

The action is cycled by the familiar sidelever, which rotates the barrel drum, bringing the next arrow into battery. Obviously this system provides for rapid follow-up shots in a manner that is unachievable with a conventional, single-shot, arrow-firing PCP airgun.

The Redback is capable of producing power up to 150 Ft/Lbs Muzzle Energy, that’s 425 FPS with 375-Grain arrows. That’s enough power and accuracy for hunting and target practice.

Power is provided by a rear-mounted, 480cc rear carbon fiber bottle that fills to 3,625 PSI (250 BAR). FX says that this provides enough High Pressure Air to achieve eight shots per fill at full power.

The Redback PCP arrow shooter has many of features that are familiar from pellet-shooting FX air rifles. These including a fully-adjustable trigger, the Quick Tune System, adjustable hammer spring tension power wheel, and externally-adjustable regulator.

It also includes the same dual angled pressure gauges – one for bottle pressure, the other for regulator pressure.

The Picatinny optics rail has a built-in 60 MOA cant for improved accuracy at longer ranges. Plus, M-LOK forend rails are provided on both sides for adding accessories such as lights and lasers. An Arca-Swiss rail on the bottom allows the Redback to be mounted on a bipod or tripod, if required.

The weight is surprisingly light at 7.4 Lbs. Plus a scope, rings and arrows, that is. The price is $1,729.99.

A guy got to think these PCP manufacturing people must hire laid off Lucas films prop designers / people to design these silly guns today ..

These guys were Raised up in the starwars 70's and never returned from that galaxy far ,far , away.

Im looking forward to hearing the advantages of using this over a traditional big bore? Is it quieter? Easier to load during demanding field use? Why would you need a 60moa rail for an arrow gun?

If you’re laying siege to a castle… you have to get them arrows arcing over those high walls. Imagine the literal “rain of destruction” eight arrows in the air could do to a prairie dog on a mound. Spitted and ready for roasting? Is a great selling point. Or wild boars on the run…? Ducks/geese on the wing? endless possibilities…

Edited to add: Eight wicked broadheads sticking out of the front of the thing would be a fearsome sight…

Lol that exactly what I was thinking when I this thing ....a Gatling gun pellet gun ....but to think about it.....why not!!!! That would be awesome wild hogs gun ..

Wow! Everyone always brings up how much more .30 costs to shoot and how much air it uses, now there's this. Thirty just became thrifty. A good bolt with a good broadhead on it is a lot of money, now times that by 8. You are not always going to recover them and if you shot at the wrong thing, they take damage. Unlike a .30, no suppressor on this bad boy, all the hogs are going bye bye with the first shot. Good bows and crossbows don't have to worry too much about these I would think. We'll see.

Arrow airguns aren't legal for regular waterfowling, just shotguns and bows.

@Luis Leon If none of the bolts are passing through the hog, something is wrong. You're also likely to have a very strong, dense, pissed-off, and wounded animal very close to you moving quickly. I wouldn't want to be that guy.

Lol if u wanna thread it on and off after each shot/barrel revolution?! All kidding aside I'm dying to see this thing in action, if it actually works it would be pretty neat. I see literally zero use for it as well (assassin tool?) ....there have been historical weapons, some attempts, some actually worked that shot more than one arrow but they usually weren't that great vs traditional bows, crossbows, etc.
