Others Feeding Nitrogen to a compressor?

Regarding feeding nitrogen to a GX CS4-i compressor, is a flow meter (similar to the one linked) the only necessary component (besides the fittings & hoses), or is a regulator also needed?

This says the output pressure is preset at 50 PSI which seems like it might be too high for the inlet side of the compressor.

You absolutely need a regulator. You feed n2 to the compressor at around 9-10psi and no more. This works beautifully.

That flowmeter/regulator wont work right as it drops to zero on the float ball with every pulse of the compressor I have one just like it for my tig torch. Tried it on CS4 and that was result changed it to a flowgauge regulator that works fine set it to 25scfh that is the the same as 13 ltrm gauge may even have both markings or as mentioned above an inert regulator cga 580 with a low pressure output set at 8 - 10 psi works great been doing that on my GX CS2

Those ball float flow meters are only rated for something like 50psi, so you need a regulator to feed them.

The one he was showing was a regulated flowmeter takes tank pressure down to approx 30psi
I used to work for the Victor Equipent co as a factory rep so I do have a little idea ;>)
