EVOL EVOL Arca Rail for non-HPS models

I would like a choice between a pic or Arca rail for the Hunter
for what i am doing at this point in time i am content with the pic rail but i can see people wanting the option.
i am on the fence in regards to a tripod for example and not sure what else would prompt to need the arca rail but if i do o that direction the option would be cool.
aside from the tripod is there any other reason to need the arca?

I use an adapter to go from my tripod to picatinny rail.

Speculation here, but "demand" is going the way of arca. Plus, if your shooting the HPS in competition with multiple staged events where there's different types of things that you have to rest the fore stock on, including bags, the arca bottom is smooth and consistent with recoil/sliding on a variety of materials. Whereas a lower picatinny rail would drag and or catch and can easily give differing hold pressure based on shoulder pressure, all of which could effect accuracy.

And thats exactly why the br and prs versions are getting arca 😀

i think if Tom doesnt offer them ( i bet he will unles the HPS is differant? ) if someone really wanted one a local machine shop could make one.
if i wanted one and they where not avalible i would make one.
umless i go to shooting mostly froma tripod i cant see me needing one. i do plan on a tripod but i will just get those adapter i have seen they sema like they are very affordible.?

I would assume that thr attachment would be the same from one length to the other. The Arca rail would be a great accessory for these rifles.
The attachment point appears to be the same between the picatinny and Arca rails. They all connect at the end of the air cylinder cap and under the receiver. With the (more than three) different barrel and air cylinder lengths currently offered in the Evol, Tom could make specific lengths of Arca rails to offer for sale as an upgrade, unless of course the gun was custom made to order or is the HPS BR/PRS model with dedicated arca rail.

I had talked with AOA about putting down a deposit on the bench rest version the other day. Gave them all my info and seeing this today I contacted them just to add that I wanted the 24” barrel version when it’s available. The guy I talked to today sounded annoyed that I was asking about the gun in general. Said they have zero knowledge about these models even being produced. Basically telling me it’s all rumors until they have the guns. Which I understand. I’m assuming there is a lack of communication between them and Tom, and that’s no knock against Tom at all. I did see a YouTube video of Tom showing them off. This is the gun that sparked my interest in air guns so I’ll wait patiently to get my hands on one. Have done a lot of long range center fire shooting but completely new to PCP airguns. This new gun has me going down the rabbit hole of learning everything I can about this hobby.

We are working on streamlining our product line so it is understandable that the AoA sales team is unclear what is coming.

You can bet we will have BR guns available just like the one Claudio Flores won EBR with as well as some new sporting versions too.

All our energy has been going into barrel development to make sure we have designs and twistrates to take advantage of what the new HPS platform has to offer. Now that these new barrels are in production we can get back to the task of building guns.

Also you will be seeing some new modular moderators specifically for the HPS too.

Currently we have ARCA rails made for the BR gun and the Mini. Both of these are aimed at competition shooting and are made from billet with not attempt at weight savings. They are intended to be heavy so you don't have to invest in a Tungsten mining operation to have some mass on your rifle.

When we do make an ARCA for the standard 18" barrel length EVOLs, I think they will be skeletonized and aimed at sporting / hunting applications.

There are a few changes to this.

Hunter will be a 21" Sub-Moa barrel and the Mini Sub-Moa as well. Due to the new one piece design of these barrels they will not be tensioned as we are getting better performance out of the tapered design.

We will offer an 18" "super light tensioned" barrel from Sub-Moa as an option.

Also, all AAA Sub-Moa barrels use a new and improved moderator attachment.
