PCP Epic Rifle response from EdGun West

i as him and he said
Love the gun just to big for my shooting ways It's bigger than it looks in pics but man what a shooter.

i ask him how it compared to the EVOL as i know he has had one and he said
Hands down better built and function

but i will add base on my chats with him in the past i got the impression i was not a fan of the EVOL as i recall ( and dont take this for gosple ) he felt the gun should have a better shot count?
i dont think he would mind me posting this hes a great guy and i have spoken with him a few times his views have some weight.
i dont see how it could be biut better then a EVOL? but maybe he is talking about the reg, balanced vale stock looking at the whole one? again just speculation.
i wil send him a link and see if he cares to chime in.
Sweet, real world, buyer input. Thank you.

I have been watching this rifle for a while and it was looking like it was a copy of a few different rifles piled into one. Well having talked with the manufacter as well as Brian over at EdGun West.....This is an email response from Brian that he is ok with me sharing with everyone.

I wanted to share some insights about the Epic rifle, addressing some misconceptions that have been circulating.
While some may draw parallels between the Epic and other models, it's crucial to highlight the distinctive features that set the Epic apart. The valve hammer, buttstock, barrel tension system, silencer, balance valve, regulator, trigger, safety frame, and air tube—all meticulously crafted—are designed with unparalleled precision. The only commonality with the Evol lies in its sleek black aesthetic and a visual semblance to the AR-15.
What truly makes the Epic stand out is its exceptional uniqueness. The balance valve, trigger mechanism, and modular design elevate it to a league of its own. Unlike the AAA, the Epic offers a remarkable level of customization. From seamlessly transitioning between a tube and a carbon fiber bottle to the flexibility of changing calibers and barrel lengths, the Epic empowers users to tailor their airgun experience. Additionally, the platform allows for choosing different plenum lengths and converting the stock from fixed to foldable, providing a spectrum of possibilities.
The Epic's versatility extends further with options like a bag rider, monopod, and various cheek pieces, allowing users to fine-tune their setup according to individual preferences. It's not merely a rifle; it's a canvas for personalization.
Please reach out if you have any further inquiries or wish to explore the Epic's features in more detail. We're here to ensure you make an informed decision tailored to your needs.

Brian has been awesome answering questions and quick to respond.

Will be curious to see how the rifle performs and to see how it compares to the Evol line of rifles.
Are you happy with the 700mm? Any thoughts on the 600mm?

I did not end up getting one. Talked with a few people having some major issues with the regulator. Decided to go with am Hm1000x in a chassis.
did they comment on just what the regulator issues where?
just creeping up i assume?

Sub 12 Airgunners have an Epic 2 that they take apart in a video. It is a sub 12fpe version but the internals should be the same or similar to our full power version. Very good video and they take it to the range and demonstrate the accuracy. They will do a review in the future and they are very good at identifying issues, both good or bad.

I have read some concerns about the first shots being low after the gun has sat for a while. It will be interesting to see if he has the same issue. Also, curious about his opinion of the regulator.

I would have thought the accuracy would have been better.

I do like watching his videos, he is a heck of a machinist
I do take Sub12s videos with a grain of salt, he gets into a gun and shows everything the weaknesses/flaws, the good and great... the man is a wizard! I have watched all his Ghost/daystate vids multiple times but his end results are always gonna be different from us with the high power stuff. I (of course) have the HP Ghost and some of his problems he deals with on some of the guns are Sub12 issues only. I recall his sub 12 (pathetic) panthera he recieved and all the work needed. But he even stated himself he believed FX caters more to the high power group and therefore the performance of those guns should be much better. But it's an excellent look into a gun your interested in for sure, esp something new to the market, or something you've never seen apart 🤩
