Others Diana Front Sight Inserts

Hello everyone. What is the best way to get a set or individual Diana front sight inserts? The Diana website does not seem to want to do anything but tease me with various parts drawings and lists with no way to order anything. What am I missing? Oh, and it would be really swell to pay less than $10 for each insert after taxes and shipping are factored in. After all, we are talking about a sliver of stamped metal....

I bought some other ones used based just on how the one "ear" was bigger than the other, but the diameter was too big and they won't fit.

Also, while I have your attention, for those of you who have scoped your Dianas, would you be willing to sell your extra front or rear sights? I am trying to restore a few vintage Dianas (late 60s, early 70s), and the sights are missing on some of them.

Now if you measure up the circle and the ears. You may find something close enough like a Lyman kit. But 10$ ..lol don't kid yourself ..

This globe don't fit this or that insert don't fit that . Then don't offer any replacements or it's 50+$

Now this was interesting I keep in mind how the guy in this thread made a hw globe fit on his Diana by cutting the clamping valley so it could squeez tighter to grab the Diana dovetail ..

The frustrating thing is of all the vintage Dianas bought and sold at auction or estate sales, more than 1/2 of them have scopes on them and the owners removed the sights. So the sights are floating around in the back of a drawer or cabinet. They are out there.... Unfortunately, Diana at some point started using plastic for the rear sight and it would get brittle and break off. The vintage ones were steel.

If anyone out there has old Diana sights or sight inserts in a box somewhere, please let me know. Thanks.

There was a guy at AGN kept running a wanted / want to buy Diana sights for his .. I found one on eBay bit I guess he could not get it so his ad was renewed several times .. a long time too ..

That chambers I linked above may have front and rear that could fit. That chain knock off xciso I think ( flying dragon use to handle them ) some one said it could work . And better cause not plastic ..lol

So inquire on it if you want

Replacement sights can be hens teeth for any gun if broken or lost .. ain't just Diana ..


Honestly your best bet I'd go to gateway to air guns and the older forums like air gun warriors and run a want to buy ad.

Lots of old springer guys that could pop up with one . Heck may even gift it to ya just because ..

Been almost a year since your post, but I just joined and your question was spot on with one I had recently. I own a Diana 45,, which has the dagger insert in the original Globe Front Sight. Diana inserts are next to impossible to find, and I'd bet they are passed on in a will since there seem to be none around. I purchased a Lyman Match 93 GFS about 6 months ago (before purchasing the D45) but without inserts for an Anschutz deal that fell through.

Today, I read your post, and found out why it's nearly impossible to find inserts. I looked at my Lyman GFS, without inserts, and the damn thing fits the D45 perfectly...and I purchased a complete set of Lyman 93 Match inserts. The sight looks like it belongs on the gun. I'll let you know when I receive the inserts how it works. There seems to be a few available on line for under $50, and the inserts are not as scarce.

Thank you. Still interested. I may look into what you say for the more modern Dianas, but for my vintage Winchester- branded Dianas, I want something originally designed for them.

If you are interested in putting a rear diopter site on your older Winchester-Di's with a rail, I use one on my Winchester 425 (.22 cal.). The model number on the underside is a 608, which I read was made specifically for the W-Di's and fits perfectly, takes an eye cup.

I personally love peeps. I have a 608 peep on my Winchester 435 (Diana 35), but it is at the highest adjustment and still was putting groups a little low at 10 yards. I may have to lower the front sight insert (somehow). Or determine how much the barrel is drooping and figure out a way to reduce that.

JG Airguns has Diana front sight inserts, but I don't know how to determine which one I need or will work the best. I guess I mayvhave to save up and buy one of each. However, I'm still interested in finding original rear sights in good shape because I would like to restore my collection as best I can to original condition.
