After receiving my new redwolf I decided to mount my leupold comp40 on top and test the true potential as a uk sub12 field target rifle . Wow the electronics did get me a little concerned as it was all new to me and seemed very alien as I have only ever used mechanical rifles previously. The trigger and electronics on this rifle are absolutely genius development keeping the rifle consistent and on point . I can see why this is Daystate’s flagship rifle . Anyone thinking about going electronic rest assured it’s amazing . Thanks very much soren it’s definitely one amazing accurate and consistent rifle and I must say the best match grade rifle I have ever used no worry about power fluctuations due to temperature

Yes, the Red Wolf’s accuracy and consistency always amazes me. Given that I am in USA, I essentially own 3 rifles in one. Mine is the HP version, and although it took a bit to get used to the longer barrel, I don’t even notice it and I’m grateful for the power it produces.

One word or caution is ensure your backstop is solid. I had a target deck of 3 layers of ⅝ plywood. After a shooting session of pellets striking the backstop, the pellets bored through the wood. Given the wood was well seasoned from multiple years of exposure to the weather, I never dreamed I’d bore through the wood!

I’m going to rebuild the backstop with 2X thickness wood but for now I reinforced so that I can continue shooting!
