The new Alpha Wolf Shadow is the latest version of the electronic-action Alpha Wolf PCP air rifle. Designed specifically for hunting and pest control use, it’s just announced today!
The company says that the Shadow is available now in 12 Ft/Lbs form in .177 and .22 calibers for the UK home market. High-power models are in development for the US and other countries.
The Alpha Wolf Shadow is compact, just 28 3/4-Inches long, while incorporating a 17-Inch Lothar Walther barrel.That makes it ideal for pest control duties, especially in confined spaces like farm buildings, vehicles and hides.
The weight is low, at about 6 Lbs 11 Oz, plus optics, flashlights and any other accessories that may be desired.
As a part of the compact, manoeuvrable, design philosophy, there’s a 300cc carbon-wrapped HPA air bottle. Multiple Picatinny rails provide mounting capability for all those essential accessories often found on a working, pest control tool.
The Alpha Wolf Shadow features the same electronic interface as Daystate’s SMART models that give instant power adjustability at the touch of screen. That’s ideal when “dialling down” to prevent over penetration where required.
Above we see the method for changing the power level. Just tap the “+” or “-” icon to make a change of 5%. The selected value is then displayed right in front of you. It couldn’t be simpler!

Other features include Daystate’s V3 Optic Race Rail and Gecko butt Pad. These are combined with a BRK MF-121 Moderator for quiet operation.
There’s also a distinctive, stylish Grey Shadow stock. The Daystate Alpha Wolf Shadow is supplied in a high-quality, fitted hard case.
There’s no date yet for US availability. But you can be sure that it will be offered by Airguns of Arizona as soon as stocks reach these shores.
