@Lee unsworth I am interested in how you made that dovetail-to-picatinny rail fit, as I bought one and I cant slide on from the back or front as I would usually because the dovetail has a stop just in front of the loading bay and thus it cant be slide on. How did you get yours fitted as right now I wasted my money getting this one from Daystate/Brocock (I picked up at this years British Shooting Show).
Looks just incredible! Here is mine so far. View attachment 8611
So how did you like the revere overall ? Did you have a good, average or just fair season?I have started to set up my Daystate Blackwolf for this years FT season
I reverse the screws and slid a thin bit of metal and flared the mount out very slightly, 1/4 turn then try - another 1/4 turn ect and mine went on from front of rifle to the back , it was only the rear one that needed flaring and it walked on from the mag area back , hope it makes sense but mine was a very one off modified set u
Yeh that’s why I had to flare the riser rail out , it can risk damaging the rail tho and possibly mark your action that’s why I don’t recommend it as a mod and they unfortunately don’t just fit on , shame really as it would make sense to have the dovetail non flared@Lee unsworth thanks. The problem is, and it is same on both of my factory Reveres, is that the dovetail isn’t all the way though which is a pain compared to other rifles. See red circled area. Why did Daystate do this. Another £65 down the pan as it wouldn’t fit as per your setup so is yours filed down?
Revere was a good balanced rifle and was competitiveSo how did you like the revere overall ? Did you have a good, average or just fair season?
